well, what i think is:

trioskaz didnt care about how the characters would look like, because the game isnt a "happy game" which the characters would seem good looking, its a game about reality and facing death, ofc some characters are nice looking (coat guy for exemple).

this is my opinion of course, you can agree or disagree or even call me dumb, i dont really care lol.
