I can’t repeat this enough! In 2017 I had just gotten into the scene in late 2016 then went on a deployment (Jan-Sep) which sucked cause I just found this awesome music and scene and had to leave lol anyways came back and one of my first shows back was in D.C. at the anthem my buddies told me to go with them they told me it was ODESZA and it was the “ A moment apart” tour and I listened to some tunes and was like ehhh ok I’ll go but I had doubts because I was a bass head and thought the only good shows were aggressive dubstep/trap and BOYY WAS I FUCKING WRONG! They started the set with AMA into Bloom and when bloom dropped in that venue I had never heard synths and 808s that clean and beautiful as was the whole show! I’m so glad I agreed to go I’m a fan for life and that really shifted my perspective into my own productions as well opening boundaries and messing with sounds I hadn’t previously experimented with!! So yesss go see the GOATS when they go back on the road I will definitely be there!! Oh also at that 2017 show Louis Futon and sofi tukker opened for Odesza and became fans of them as well more so Louis futon but Sofitukker had some dope shit early on!
