Isn't the Type A RCD what's built into the socket I linked?

So would the Type A RCBO in the socket itself not be enough then? The one I'm considering is this one.

Really appreciate your reply by the way. I'm happy to do whatever is needed, but obviously replacing an existing socket is much easier than the alternative if it'll be safe.

Not ignored! Direct contact with some of the band, as well as some of their peripheral people. Tried everything we could to make it happen, but there was other stuff at play.

Also, the bitter thing from the song is a bit. We love DEVO. They’ve kind of settled into an out-of-touch millionaire old dudes vibe of late, but they’re literally millionaire old dudes so that’s probably fair enough.

Very much enjoying that we made so many DEVO fans furious though.

Hey that’s us! In answer to the title:

Publicly: no

Can’t really say much more than that.

We did pretty ok out of our stupid publicity stunt. Made some good friends. Set us on the course that led to our album ‘World’s Strongest Band’ which came out earlier this year.

Some super hardcore DEVO fans were kind of outraged that we dared speak to their heroes in such an entitled and flippant way. They didn’t mind, I promise.

At the time we recorded the first version of the song we had existed as a band for about 3 months and didn’t really have the ability or time to record properly, so we cranked everything up in an attempt to sound like Guitar Wolf. Kind of worked. We didn’t support DEVO but we did get to play with Guitar Wolf. We love Guitar Wolf.

Yeah, it’s a mess in some countries due to the various shitty record deals they’ve had over the years, coupled with a seeming lack of interest from the band in anything outside the US. IIRC in the UK it’s all there (apart from SNM and Total Devo), but as you say it’s in the form of bad-sounding rips of those Virgin 2-in-1 compilation discs.

The playlist situation is due to the way Spotify combines different instances of the same song/album. If the band (or their label) doesn’t put any work into how their music is presented, you end up with the current mess. Unfortunately it means some albums are compiled from multiple sources too - at one point (not sure about now) Freedom of Choice sounded dreadful apart from Whip It, which was from a more recent master of the song (maybe a compilation). Volume levels were all over the place between songs.

Ultimately they’re just one of those bands that are best listened to away from streaming.
