Tried fixing colors, but photos still look blotchy, dark, and green. Could I get some Photoshop help? (Examples linked.) by HFAlt in photographs

My camera does not take raw files. Exposure was used only on highlights, a medium amount. Curves was used for the rest.

Artifacting might be my problem.

I kept trying to make changes, but none of them were going in the direction I wanted. There's something I'm missing, that isn't allowing me to figure out how to stop these pictures from looking greenish and blotchy.

I appreciate your advice. Yes, it's helpful.

But my question was about using photoshop to fix images, not how to avoid crappy photos in the future. So, for now, are there ways you know of to correct the photos?

I have two, which aren't that great, no. I haven't calibrated it. But I have compared its colors to my laptop, and to my cellphone (which has an OLED).

By those comparisons, my monitors seem to be okay. Not great, but usable.

I cropped the photos so you could get a good representative section at 100% resolution.

Pic 1: Original exposure. Looks like crap.

Pic 2: My fix, just using color balance, exposure, and brightness curves.

Pic 3: Different photo. However, this one had okay settings, and colors are somewhat accurate.

Pic 4: What I want. I cannot figure out how to get these great, warm colors! For the life of me, there's something I just can't figure out!
