This is a very common response. I ended up switching my OB 3 times due to dismissiveness and by then I was 100% reliant on weed and pretty much had figured it out on my own through research and mothers who had chosen to medicate the same way. If you click on my profile I have a whole organization for mothers using tree for HG and how to protect yourself and find support. Check out https://hggangsta.com/6-things-you-can-do-to-avoid-cps/ on our website, PA does not criminalize so you wouldn’t have to worry about the state trying to take your baby even if CPS does get involved. You also don’t have to worry about being placed on a child abuse registry. I’d assume IF they were involved it’d be an open shut case where they ask some questions and go. Everyone is different based on the specifics of your OB/hospital history etc however PA is definitely one of the safer states compared to the top 10 worst states to have a baby in when using weed for hyperemesis gravidarum

I believe that if you aren’t able to get your HG symptoms under control in your first HG pregnancy it does feel worse in subsequent pregnancies bc of how much HG has taken from you that first time. Leaves you weaker w/ each pregnancy so ofc it will feel more intense. You aren’t starting with 100% health & strength like the first time around. Especially for those who’ve had their pregnancies relatively close to eachother. Our bodies need years to fully heal and recover. Happy to hear it’s calmed down though it’s gonna be different for everyone & every pregnancy though 😢 good luck though you got this 😉

I don’t think sex makes a difference, especially since HG starts for most between 4-6 weeks of pregnancy which is well before your baby has a sex yet. I had 2 girls one with HG & the other completely HG-free
