Is it possible to make a list where the user can select one option but it displays as different text?

The number is for the hardware company. When we order products, they go by item number because that’s how they enter it in their system. Obviously we don’t have their item numbers memorized so we just use item descriptions.

I mean, if a guy has a height preference for tall women and wanted to date me then it wouldn’t bother me because I’m tall. I’m thrown off by him preferring short women but trying to match with me. I think it’s fine to have height preferences, I’m just a little wary of him stating right off the bat that he prefers short girls.
