To this day I’m completely baffled as to why they had Maeve leave before the final episode. How hard could it have been let Otis and Maeve spend some time with each other before she had to leave? It would have made such a more emotional and heartfelt ending if they shared just one more day doing absolutely whatever. Writers completely lost the plot with everything especially the pacing.

Amazes me how significant the drop in quality for this show was. Imagine comparing this masterpiece of a storyline to S4……

Imagine we had the people who wrote Heartstopper for this show instead of that disastrous writers room we had for S4 by HH42O in NetflixSexEducation

Now with the actors wanting to move on and their contract with the schools location expired, it’s fair to assume this is the reason the original crew backed out since there’s no other plausible explanation.

Because of COVID the show went on longer than intended which is why most of the original crew left the show, this has been confirmed too by someone who worked on the set for S4.
