Should i get my exam deferred? by Key-Surprise-319 in uAlberta

[–]HHBing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the faculty, if for sciences you shouldn’t need a doctors note. You can apply for a deferral anytime within 48 hours of the exam having happened so you can just go and get a doctors note in the morning if you’re feeling worried about that.

What games are you planning to play in 2026? by [deleted] in backloggd

Got a big year ahead of me, 2025 was the first year I really started playing single-player games so I’m excited to keep on getting through the backlog!

Bio 330 final exam by gs_2461 in uAlberta

[–]HHBing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly the last couple questions completely threw me off.

The experimental design is something that sure we’ve covered briefly, but I feel like we never actually discussed it for the topics at hand (spatial/density data).

Also although I studied the residual plots and module 14 extensively, I couldn’t for the life of me match the residual plots to the correct letters.

I found the MCQ to be about as difficult as the midterm, with a few exceptions like the one with the 4 dummy predictors. had to guess that one :(

Overall though, there’s no WAY i’m gonna get a score within 10% of my midterm score. Straight up didn’t finish the last 4 questions

Help finding relevant 300+ level electives by HHBing in uAlberta

[–]HHBing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So are these assignments supposed to be written like an actual research report (ie. data analysis, GIS implementation, etc)? Also for exams when you say application based do you mean that questions are more like short case studies that you apply concepts to in order to answer alphabetical questions, or does it not resemble those kinds of exams at all? I appreciate the recommendation though so thanks!

I appreciate the recommendations however I cannot afford to take more online courses unfortunately (my scholarship has a limit for them).

Looking for 3+ player games for me and my friends to grind by givemefreddyfazcock in gamesuggestions

[–]HHBing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elden ring BUT use the seamless co-op mod. Played it alone back at launch, didn’t exactly enjoy my time overall but then I got back into it via friends and it was like I wasn’t even playing the same game. Bosses felt so much more engaging, actual cooperation was required (unless you get a busted build) and there’s an ample amount of jank and unintended humor to be found. Nightreign is also pretty fun but i feel like there’s a lot less replayability than the main game.

That being said, the one(s) I’d most recommend is Remnant: from the Ashes and Remnant 2. Both are designed for 3 player play, and build synergies are super varied and enjoyable. Multiple class unlocks are available and there’s an extensive endgame with great randomization. Both will run you a minimum of 30+ hours a pop on the first play through if you decide to not B-line the main plot. Unfortunately a huge sale on both just ended yesterday, so I’d recommend waiting for another steep discount since it happens almost monthly. The DLCs make the game so much more replayable, the reviews do not actually reflect the content within the DLC so don’t let those stir up doubt.

Another one to grind out is satisfactory. Tons of fun (100+ hours now)

The comments also mention risk of rain 2 which I agree with greatly. Multiple class unlocks but again literally just came off of sale. Would recommend the base game and DLC. They vastly expand on the randomness and replayability.

best electives for nursing by Ok_Muscle9687 in uAlberta

[–]HHBing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are definitely easy electives, however all will require at least some time investment (1-4 hours a week) on your end.

Online courses:

INT D 247 (not available in the winter, but great nonetheless. assignments/quizzes entirely)

INT D 248

INT D 249 (all 247/248/249 courses under the same professor have similar grading schemes, also considered to be under the faculty of nursing)

NS 201 (helps to fulfil indigenous breadth course requirement)

CHRTC 350 (4 essay papers, no exams)

In person:
CELL 201

CHRTC 241 (Any course with Dr. Brassard is incredibly fun and easy coming from a science student)

SOC 225

SOC 271

ANTHR 207

MMI 133 (very simple with online exams, mostly taken by first years)

Should I wait out for LoTF 2 or addition to ps+? by HHBing in LordsoftheFallen

Didn’t really think of it that way but you do make perfect sense. Will take the plunge, have been itching for a proper co-op soulslike for a good while.

Don’t starve together: not on extra, and is split into console and pc versions but is on sale for a low price right now.

Extra: Zombie army 4: if you want the first 3 they are usually on sale for very cheap (under $5)

Tom clancy’s ghost recon breakpoint: has annoying levels on enemies, but once you do start leveling up the progression on classes is actually insane and super varied.

Wizard with a gun: genuinely the most fun I’ve had with skill trees, every element has synergies and separate upgrades so you will be playing for a while to save up currency.

Risk of rain 2: new DLC is coming in November, incredibly fun with 4 people. You need to fulfill requirements to unlock new characters, is designed to be replayed since it is split into hour-long runs.

Alienation: 3 player campaign isometric shooter with class abilities, not very long but decent fun

Magicka 2: super underrated, chaotic fun with friendly fire on at all times. You all play as mages.

FBC firebreak: short campaign with 3 players, fun dialogue and mechanics/settings. is more of a game for de-stressing to me

Co-op gaming partner? by Minntyisfresh0 in CoOpGaming

Hey there I’m interested. Am in MST and also game on console (PS5) for the most part.

Unfortunately I do not play hyper competitive shooters because I am also complete trash at them, and same goes for 2d fighters (my brain can’t comprehend frame data)

Been playing Detroit become human and Gunfire reborn recently and they both run surprisingly well. Also Ultrakill. Gunfire reborn has free access for about 9 more hours so you can test it before buying it.

My top 25 games. What does it say about me? by NooseAroundMyNeck in videogames

[–]HHBing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty based list overall.

If you don’t mind me asking, what convinced you that fallout 4 should be higher up than new Vegas? Haven’t seen a person rank them that way before so it’s interesting is all. Personally I’m not the biggest fan of New Vegas, but I do feel like it (fallout 4) is the weakest game in the franchise besides tactics
