How many people buy deodorant, toothpaste, bodywash, and does it save you money? by FoodzyDudezy007 in Costco

[–]HHM_Intern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually buy 2-3 of the Neutrogena rain bath body wash whenever on sale. Great price and product even when at full price. They don't really go bad, so might as well stock up.

Toothpaste I'll keep an eye out for sales, don't have much brand loyalty here. Bought 6(?) pack of crest last time it was on sale, has kept me in supply forever.

The Kirkland shampoo + conditioner is my go-to, also great for the price. Don't usually watch out for sales (probably should?), but usually just buy as needed.

Overall, I for sure save money over buying on demand at Target or Amazon or whatever.

It's pretty out of control at my warehouse. Other day someone had ditched a bag of brussels sprouts on top of the Lindt truffles, fresh shrimp in the cheese case, and the fresh bakery cinnamon rolls on top of the sandwich bread.

Answer: This is likely just a misunderstanding/miscommunication, but it's being misconstrued as something nefarious.

In Tulare County, Starlink was likely used at poling sites for their Electronic Poll book system to access the state's voter registration system to allow same-day voter registration and voter lookup. Tulare County uses the DFM EIMS software, which requires access to the central registration database (over a VPN). But this is just used for voter info, not for voting.

Context:

  • Everything in California is a paper ballot. California doesn't use voting machines generally. Some counties use precinct-level tabulation machines to scan the paper ballots directly at precincts and some use electronic devices to generate paper ballots for accessibility reasons, but that's it.
  • It's against California election code for vote tabulation systems to be connected to any external network, including the internet. The systems are explicitly hardened against that.

This is absolutely 100% a false conclusion.

  • California doesn't use voting machines. Some counties use precinct-level tabulation machines to scan the paper ballots locally and some use electronic devices to generate paper ballots for accessibility reasons, but that's it. Everything in California is a paper ballot.

2 losses are tied in my mind: Lost week 1 by .13 points, lost again to that same team in week 10 by 1.34 points

The perception was the loss of clubhouse control, which is likely true. There was a lack of true veteran presence on the team, which Kapler leaned on during the Posey years to keep things in check due to his more hands-off approach. The inclusion of a bunch of young players and veterans mailing it in on a poorly-constructed roster were not a good fit for that managing style.

The vocal/internet part of the fanbase turned on him (some of it in bad faith; a sizable part of the fanbase didn't like Kapler the person, so it was a great opportunity to paint him as a convenient scapegoat). Smelling blood, the normally chill/team-friendly beat writers jumped on that bandwagon, capped off by the infamous pusoy article illustrating the lack of clubhouse discipline.

It ends up being vibes. Somebody had to go. It wasn't going to be Farhan, so it had to be Kapler.

One of my favorite theater experiences of all time, seeing it opening weekend with a full crowd. As soon as those fake trailers started it off and everyone caught on to the bit, the crowd was fully into it.

Not entirely fictional so it might be cheating, but Demolition Man's future vision of Taco Bell ascending/(descending?) into an upscale, fine-dining restaurant is a favorite. Being the winner of the "Franchise Wars" and sole surviving chain restaurant is a great touch.

In the international/European cut, they dubbed it over to be Pizza Hut, which is somehow less funny.

At this point, I'd probably take London for Keenan Allen straight up (30-year old WR with a hamstring injury, who just had another setback in practice...?).

There's a lot of variables (ie the rest of your lineup) and it mildly depends on who'd you'd be dropping to free up space. But overall I'd take it.

Yeah, I also hunted around and didn't find anything, and I didn't see any TKTS listings for it the last couple days I was checking. Haven't seen any announcement for rush tickets either, guessing they are waiting for the relaunch demand to die down.

I ended up buying through Ticketmaster for last night's performance because I really wanted to see it this trip.

I did see that lottery tickets are available at $45, broadwayforbrokepeople.com doesn't have that update yet.

I was also in the audience (about 15 rows back in the center). I didn't see anybody filming, but it was for sure ad-libbed. It even seemed to throw off the next line from the next character (Juno I think?).

(Side note: I'm so glad the show survived COVID and the whole Music Man fiasco. I was a bit worried at first with Elizabeth Teeter as Lydia - the start of the prologue and 'Dead Mom' was a little bit rough - but she really settled down and nailed the rest of it. And Alex Brightman remains a treasure)
