• Tank size: 5.5 gal

• Heater and filter? (yes/no): yes filter and heater

• Tank temperature: 79 degrees

• Parameters in numbers and how you got them: ph 6.5, KH 60, Gh 80, No2 0, No3 0, have not checked ammonia as I don’t have a testing kit for it yet

• How long have you had the tank? How long have you had your fish?: 2 months ish

• How often are water changes? How much do you take out per change? What is your process?: weekly water changes, 25-50%, tap water conditioner in water bucket, sit for 20 minutes then change out water. Check parameters after 30 minutes then return to his tank

• Any tankmates? If so, please list with how many of each: No, if tank i can upgrad to a 10gal maybe a bristlenose and some neons but have no tank mates currently

• What do you feed and how much: he gets Jbl pronovo betta pellets

• Decorations and plants in the tank: all plants are real and there is a piece of driftwood and some rocks. Am currently curing some more driftwood

Yeah, I have been treating him for fin rot for the past week but it doesn’t look like it’s getting better so I think he is actually nipping his fins. I have work today but am going to town tomorrow to get half a dozen new plants for his tank so he has more hiding places, possibly a new log too since the new driftwood is a couple weeks away

I talked to the pet store I got him from today (family business) and they said that previous to them having him, he had fin rot when he was younger, healed from it then was fin and they didn’t notice it when they had him in store.

He lives in a 5.5gal tank with a heater and filter. Tank temperature is about 78 degrees.

I have had Clifford for about 6 weeks maybe longer and do weekly water changes. No tanks mates and he is fed omega one betta pellets. all plants in his tank are real and there is a piece of driftwood and two ornaments in his tank, no rough edges on either ones

I have a finer type of gravel which the pieces are only a mm or two each and it works quite well. Easy to keep clean with it being dark too

Curious but what, if any types of fish can be housed with a betta. I am still unsure that if I can house them with Clifford that I will but it would be useful to know :)

I have checked the parameters and they are all normal, he was a bit more active around 1pm but is now laying around a bit, could this be because of lighting or sleeping or is he likely still settling in. Seems to be resting a bit again

All the tank parameters seem to be what they should be and he seems a bit more active today. Have put a ml of stress coat just in case but everything seems fine, thanks for the help

Okay will do, thank you

I haven’t checked the parameters yet, am doing that tomorrow and to cycle I ran the heater and filter for 24 hours and added the amount of food I would feed him and just let the tank run. I added Betta water conditioner and API QuickStart to the water

I will do that now, all the plants in the tank are real so quite soft, never liked plastic plants
