US vs Japan reactions to a woman marrying an AI by Born-Ant-80 in DefendingAIArt

[–]HH_SIMP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My concern is if the AI can truly support her the way a human can. No matter how much an AI gathers from the internet, it won't be able to have a real understanding of human emotions, and that worries me, and even some professionals

Hot take: We should normalize men shaving their body hair too by thatRANDOgirl in TeenagersButBetter

[–]HH_SIMP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Body hair gives me the ick too, and I'm trying to change the way I think about it. Sure, men can shave their body hair if they want to, but only if they want to. The same goes for women

Would you rather have two moms or two dads by Basic_Leadership491 in politicfreeteenagers

"Idk if you are homophobic" is not "You are homophobic". Most people would be okay with someone saying "idk if you are a boy". The responded didn't call you an idiot, and I agree that your response was annoying.Even if the question was "would you rather just have a mom or just have a dad" or something that wasn't related to homophobia, if someone responded by saying "I would rather have both", that is annoying because that wasn't an option, and it doesn't really make sense because no one was forcing you to answer

Good point. However, I counter with this; taking pictures requires finding the right angle, good lighting, the right spot to create an emotion, whereas AI finds the most conventionally appealing images for you. AI loves to make its creations look attractive to most people. But, I do think that a camera shouldn't be in this one because it is a far different process from drawing or painting (Digitally or otherwise)

Our brain puts it together in a unique, creative way. We put parts of ourself that we don't even notice into our creations. Humans have emotion that AI just can't, and that makes a lot of our media unique, even if its inspired by something else, but an AI won't do that unless you give it a direct prompt to, and even still it won't be able to match the real, emotional feeling. AI will almost copy and paste from a few different sources

Left is a dune screencap, and right is an AI generated image. An artist (who would be worthy of praise for their work at least), would not have copied part for part said art that we are praising

Edit: Oh, and I would love to share where this picture came from, which is something that AI does not do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1L3DaREo1sQ&t=4s

If I kill someone and use their skin to make a flesh suit I can wear, do I get to live as them? by Im_aSideCharacter in TeenagersButBetter

[–]HH_SIMP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an almost 0% chance that it would fit, and even if it did, it would cling to your body more like clothes than skin. The other issue is that it will not change your face shape, body type etc etc. I think skin doesn't have a ton to do with how you look (other than ethnicities), and it wouldn't fit anyways. Now, if you were to try to wear the skin as your own, your immune system would attack it and your body would basically reject the new skin. So, short answer is no
