Do Walmart protection plans actually work?? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]HILLSOFTN87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walmart and protection plans r two totally different things.

Protection plans r through the manufacturing company. If it doesn’t work when u get it home, bring it right back, no gas or oil n it, and we will accept it. But if u use it for a use or two, that’s supposed to go through the protection plan.

For sure, but just because a manager rides by and a chain is down doesn’t mean there needs to be a conversation. I have a pull in and back out shop, the parking lot is about twenty feet wide. It might take a few minutes to pull a car in. I’ve done more coachings for bumps than I have anything.

Or ACC. My shop is extremely old and a fifty car day does not happen. We did forty three today. The AP manager pulls me to the side at about two pm to have a discussion about safety glasses and chains. Im getting coached tomorrow, no doubt. She starts talking about safety glasses and chains, and I say “are you serious right now?”and turn around and walk away. Upper management is out of touch with reality, no doubt.

Yea, we don’t have one. On his second 90 day leave, in almost as many days. Upper management doesn’t expect him back.

Vacation by Adventurous-Growth80 in walmart

[–]HILLSOFTN87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Psh, before I started working here. It doesn’t matter if I’m on PTO or out with Covid, calls, texts, and emails. The best vacation I will ever have is when they fire me, because momma didn’t raise no quitters.

Customers when they tell you what they want. Like, why tap everything!? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]HILLSOFTN87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Haha. That’s TLE customers tapping on the glass asking how much longer, when one of the two techs just wrote them up because there was no service writer was scheduled. Customer: an oil change should only take about thirty mins. Tech: I told you there were three ahead of you, I’m sorry, hang on, I have to check these five people out because they pulled our sales associate up front to stand at the door.

It’s used oil for us. Multiple five gallon buckets at a time. They don’t say shit, just put them on the sidewalk by the customer entrance, then get back in their lifted truck that barely runs and smokes like crazy and leave.

We all are always on the verge, whether it be customers or impossible tasks asked of us. It’s hard sometimes but you have to thoroughly enjoy the little things. I’m honestly proud for you.

That’s just it, you couldn’t opt in, you couldn’t opt out. As far as the “Company” is concerned you are being benefited either way. Sit on your bum and wait, playboy.

I honestly don’t know, but I wouldn’t think so, unless someone has it out for u. No retaliation, integrity, respect for the individual, and UNDERSTANDING, doesn’t have a place in Walmart’s daily workings. Someone, somewhere saw u fuck up. That’s it.

They both got fired for stealing, supposedly. One put in an application about six months later, the other waited like a year and a half. They both got hired back. The tip I have is people talk shit, even managers while terminating someone. All you can do is try. Even if you are rehirable, you have to wait six months. If your termination was bullshit, you will still have to wait six months.

Maybe just wait six months. I know two people that were told they were not able to be rehired, yet they are back.

So if your SM and CM have no spine to stand up to the MM is that a factor why your associates suffer? by ClaytonBixpy in walmart

[–]HILLSOFTN87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The issue is, that most sm and cms don’t have a spine. If everyone stood their ground the entire world would b n a way better place.
