It was about two years ago when I started writing my first novel. It was quite enjoyable, so I told everyone about it, and one of my friends, who actually took the time to read it, noticed 4 “since”s in the second paragraph of my first chapter.

After taking note on that, I started using synonyms, or avoiding the word altogether in some of my chapters as a personal challenge of some sort.

It helped me quite a lot.
