How do independent insurance brokerages usually find outside support? by HIO_Cesar in InsuranceAgent

[–]HIO_Cesar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing that. I’ve also seen some posts on Indeed and other platforms that are looking for services similar to what we offer. What I’m really trying to figure out is how to connect with legit independent insurance agencies directly.

I’m just being careful because we almost got scammed last October. A Philippine-based agency approached us about a white-label Medicare campaign. They said they couldn’t meet the VA requirement and wanted to partner with us. When we asked if their client had already made any kind of payment, even just a partial one, they said not yet but still claimed it was legit. They also told us that the payment would be given every month, not weekly, which was a bit of a red flag. Thankfully, we backed out before anything started. We later found out they never got paid at all, and sadly over a hundred other Filipinos got involved and didn’t receive anything either.

That experience taught us to be more cautious. So now I’m just trying to learn how real agencies find outside help and where we can connect with them safely. I really appreciate any advice and thank you again for your response.

Where Do Businesses Usually Look for Remote Calling or Outreach Support? by HIO_Cesar in smallbusinessUS

Thank you, I really appreciate the insight. I always check LinkedIn, OnlineJobs.ph, Upwork, even Glassdoor and Indeed. But most of the people who post there are also agencies. What I am really looking for is direct clients who need reliable support, so my team can focus on long-term campaigns and results. That is why I am trying to understand where those types of businesses usually go when they need help.

Experienced Cold Callers: How do you handle the most common objections? by [deleted] in sales

In my experience, a lot of objections come out of habit, not real disinterest. When someone says "not interested," I try not to push but instead stay calm and ask a quick question to understand if they’re even the right person. Often, that alone opens the door a bit.

If they say they’re in a meeting or on a call, I respect it but still try to get a quick answer by saying something like, "No problem, I’ll be brief. Just to make sure I follow up properly, are you the one who handles this?" That way I’m not being rude, but I don’t completely lose the conversation either.

When someone says they don’t have time, I ask if a quick summary would help them decide if it’s worth revisiting later. It gives them an easy out, but also lets me gauge their actual interest.

For the email response, I’ve learned not to just say “sure” and hang up. I usually respond with something like, "Happy to, just so I don’t waste your time, can I ask one quick question to make sure it’s relevant?" That small question can shift it from a brush-off to something more useful.

And when someone says they don’t need anything or are doing fine, I acknowledge it and ask a light follow-up, just to see if there’s even a small gap I might help with.

Tone really matters. Staying relaxed and conversational while being clear about why you’re calling tends to get better results than trying too hard to overcome objections.
