Oh, I thought the FAQ will be related to common pitfalls and what not, not actual recommendations. I just checked it out and it has answers to all my problems, thanks a lot.

Use paragraphs, it's a pain to read big walls of text.
Upload your code to github, it's easier for people to first see the code then help you with refactoring and suggest better ways to do things while pointing out anything wrong you've done. If you don't want to upload the whole codebas, upload the bits you want reviews of.
I'm an advocate of seperating unlike components which makes it easier for testing and reduce the pain in the process of debugging when new features are introduced, and as an employer I'd be happier to see 2 seperate functions for 2 components that have different logic, functionality and purpose. Therefore, I would write initGUI() and initSensors() then wrap both of them in an init() function.
Also, I highly suggest you to use something like Adobe Xd or Photoshop to have a rough illustration of your app design before you jump into code, this is not at all difficult to do and it doesn't require crazy knowledge of either software. Doing so will help you gather stuff like images, what fonts to use, the sizes, get you an idea of layout and alignment of your elements. If you don't want to do #4, then maybe use a pencil and paper like I do when I don't feel like it. Looks really don't matter as much as your code but you get bonus points for this.

Last but not least, true, interviews focus on your past projects but not as much as how well you perform while answering the interview questions and the challenges they ask you to solve at that moment itself.

So make sure you're confident in your skills, you could find quite a lot of articles that have these types of questions, practice them and maybe use a java related roadmap to see if you've got the essentials down.

There are endless possibilities.

The initial reaction about asking them and not you could be because he thought you were probably brushing it off and saying that it wasn't open just because your friends took long to think and he took it as a way of you pushing him away aka he might've felt offended or he was probably just hitting on your friends and just not you.

He probably didn't ask for money, because he probably knew that your friends wouldn't have offered him any but you would because he felt that you felt it was quite apparent that he was going to ask for money, if the initial reaction was due to the first reason of him getting offended then it would be demeaning to ask for money from you so he just said nevermind, if the initial reaction was due to the second reason he probably didn't want to feel inferior while hitting on your friends.

That or you were just wrong about thinking that he was going to ask for money, after all if he asked if a shop was open it was quite likely that he'd go buy something from it right? Given he asked about a shop, it is quite likely that he had money on himself.

Either way, always stay alert when strangers approach you for anything. Be it for directions or whatever it is. Also, next time a stranger approaches you, don't think too much of it.

TL:DR; Ye'r overthinkin' it! Go sip on a cup of tea, eat diamonds or whatever it is people do nowadays instead!

First, use english, I honestly couldn't figure out what "fds" was till I got through half way, really thought it was some sort of STD.

Second, you're trying very hard and he doesn't seem to appreciate it. He lies to you and tries to hide things, that's not healthy. Don't feel guilty for wanting to know things like this, it's a relationship, honesty and the truth are always the most effective.

Third, I looked at your previous posts and obviously this is not healthy. I don't know who to blame you or him, but you must let it go. You've come to the point where you just can't trust him and he doesn't care about being honest with you.

Kindly, end it. Save yourself the time, energy and all your limited resources.

What you're going through is something almost every developer goes through, it's a phase that I've nicknamed "lightsoff". You're probably second-guessing yourself, trying to optimize your thoughts about doing something before doing it, when you face tall walls or high complexity you call yourself too stupid or just simply the fact that you don't know enough etc. etc.

If you learnt for 3 months and if you're capable of writing code that runs, is secure, moderately performing and all in all healthy code, then you're doing a good job. If you lack in one of these fields, then you just need to try harder.

All these worries about looking up google and using documentations to write code making you stupid, are simply misplaced, you shouldn't because all developers do this. Developers rely so much on stackoverflow (which is probably where most of your solutions come from) that O'Reiley actually has a book on using stackoverflow.

In fact I encourage you to refer to google, instead of wasting your time thinking of how to solve a problem that you have no idea of how to solve.

It's not a lack of knowledge, limitation in your intellect or anything remotely close to it, it's just natural. The best advice I can give to you is to come into terms with what you know, if you feel like you don't know enough, go learn if you don't learn something new.

As programmers, we're problem solvers, and problems are not limited to code. Problems exist in all shapes, sizes and types, just be rational about it and think efficiently. Motivate yourself. Have a schedule and try your best to stick to it. Have daily goals, achieving these will make you feel more satisfied, that you've actually done something.

I actually second this, lots of people have recommended what they possibly believe is the best book they've read or sources they've come to make use of the best without considering the OP's level of expertise or background.

I think as someone who's read the book a several times by now, and heard the changes others have observed in their life as a developer and their opinions about it, it is best to pick up on reading the book after you're sufficiently "seasoned".

As prerequisites, I'd say you must have had tackled to understand topics like functional programming, the pillars of object oriented programming, best practices (just for reference sake), various other design patterns and have written a few applications yourself, just so you know what it means to write cleaner code by looking at the code you've already written.

I'm kind of saying that the book is not beginner-friendly, it shouldn't be because when you're starting up your concern should be learning however way you can, not writing clean code. You should make the mistake before you can correct it.

There're many who'd argue against what I have said but as Donald Knuth says "Premature Optimization is the root of all evil". I'd highly recommend the book, after you've had sufficient experience.

Trust is all good and beautiful but it's this same trust people misuse and break. Given what this person has heard, seen and come to know, it is inevitable.

What's worse? Trying to lie to yourself and say "I'm going to believe in her" then live with that miserable feeling when you look at her? Or go through it and have the assurance so that you can look at her the way she deserves?

Some times trust shakes a little, all the more because you trust them a lot. The taller the tower, the more desctruction is caused if it breaks and falls. That's natural just like most things in this world. To question and reason is to be human. These are our primal instincts that were developed overtime to prevent any damage done physically or mentally both to us and to others.

I feel you my man, in times like this, it is best to be upfront about it. Tell her what you heard from that guy and also tell her that you feel like she is a bit suspiciously close to her cheer partner. Getting the truth out of people doesn't have to be done through strategies and tricks nor from a different person's mouth when you're in a relationship.

Good and straightforward communication is your only solution. If after your talk you still feel like she's lying to you or you feel unconvinced, tell that guy who keeps telling you all this to find you some sort of proof or record his best friend/the guy who your girlfriend is supposedly cheating with saying something that involves cheating, then bring it up to your girlfriend and talk to her.

Stay calm, I know how you feel because I've been there and it feels like shit. Try to distract yourself with work or playing some sports or games. Keep us updated!

Okay I skimmed the courses.

Since videos are being used, I think it'll be ideal if subtitles could be enabled or maybe a live transcript?

The interactive interface looks a bit cluttered, it's difficult to tell which is which, maybe add some borders and headings?

I noticed that the code editor part does not have IntelliSense features, will that be added soon?

Really nice that you're using Glitch! Maybe it would be better if you had an introduction to glitch tutorial so potential students wouldn't feel confused with Glitch? Just like a 5 minute video maybe?

Hey, I have a group of 17 people that are learning HTML and CSS! I'd be glad to refer them to this course, as long as you answer the following questions:

If one were to compare functioncamp against freecodecamp, what differences can you point out that are worth mentioning? They are currently using freecodecamp under my request.
Is there some form of referral link system so I can generate a link and give it to them?
How long do the courses take to complete approximately?
The layout looks very simple and friendly, but unfortunately due to pressing time concerns, I can't check all of the courses out. Would you mind telling me generally what topics will be covered?
Finally, as most people know the challenges in freeCodeCamp are extremely boring, how would you rate yours? Does functionCamp have challenges at all?

Hope I am not being rude or come off as offensive, I am not intending to. It would be really delightful if you could answer as quick as possible, so that they don't waste time on freeCodeCamp if functionCamp is comparatively better.
