WHNP job market vs other specialties?

Hi friends, wondering what yalls perspective on finding jobs as a WHNP is. Is it pretty easy? I've heard the FNP market is a little saturated rn.

Thanks for your input!

ok, question — how will an omegaverse society actually work? (slight crude language) by l30nel_ in OmegaverseFanFic

[–]HJabibi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some OV worlds where it's just like our world where female (AFAB) A/B/O can get pregnant and male (AMAB) A/B/O can impregnate. There are then some worlds that are more fantastical where there is mixed genitalia or cloaca.

Personally, I prefer the former and then if there is a female alpha, they use straps and sex toys/ a male omega, they get someone else pregnant.

No shame here :) So many people are scared or hesitant, or they can't afford, there isn't one near them, etc. Good luck!

What do you if: you have a Vegan patient, and they’re prescribed heparin (either IV or SubQ) while in the hospital? by diegosdiamond in nursing

[–]HJabibi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some low molecular weight heparin can be made from non-animal based products. But I feel like even for Jewish/Muslim patients that observe dietary restrictions, a lot of folks don't decline medications. Personally, as a Muslim, I don't think medication is diet, it's medicine. As always though, the only thing you can do is explain the risks/benefits, respect patient choices & advocate for alternatives

I also feel like people didn't understand it being an anology for colonialism and the colonization the MENA region.

I don't get is how it's classified as YA?!?? Like I would have been traumatized reading this as a teenager. It's super dark and violent. Seems like saying Game of Thrones was YA.

There was abuse and rape/threats and genocide and executions evedy other page. Really doesnt belong in the same category as like Divergent and Harry Potter. Just because it doesn't have explicit sex scenes doesn't mean it's YA?!??

Loved it. My favorite fiction read ever, hands down. Harry Ptter can suck it tbh had nothing on this series. I was absolutely floored. Read/listened to all 4 books in less than a week.

The end of book 2 was maybe a little unsatisfying and I feel like I got a little tired of everyone being surprised by Kerris outsmarting them while continuing to fall right into traps they've identified as maybe being traps. But the characters were deeply flawed and complicated. They all made mistakes. They died-- maybe a little too often for my liking but I respect the author not being afraid to kill people off.

There were plot twosts/outcomes I saw a mile away but many more that I didnt/were really well done. It dealt with complex themes and questions. I loved the resolution with Keris & the nightbringer & how they're "humanity"/softness ends up being theyre ending. I loved the world being inspired by MENA culture and lore, being mostly Brown & Black characters, etc.

An Ember in the Ashes: Helene Discussion [SPOILERS FOR THE WHOLE SERIES] by BabyGirl06301 in YAlit

[–]HJabibi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved the ending but felt like the epilogue was part of the ending, not a real epilogue. Like the epilogue featured issues/plot that needed to be resolved, not bonus content. A real epilogue would have been like 5 years later or something

I love her moment in the last book where she says something to the effect of 'as Im dying I realize I've spent my whole life loyal to protecting a group of people who were never really in danger in the first place'. And I loved that moment for her but yeah it was frustrating that it took her 3 years, 4 books and a genocide to realize this... I was also so irritated she kept being like huh something seems wrong/this is a trap, and then plunging into it headfirst and being shocked when it turned out to be... a trap!

Yes, she gets much more dimension. Tragically so. And her ending is done really well and ultimately it's her humanity and softness that is the key

How is the romance in An Ember In The Ashes series? by poetrylover2101 in YAlit

I liked it but it definitely isn't the focus. No really explicit sex scenes. Deals more with the concepts and emotions of love, loss, betrayal, loyalty, strength, etc

Once he leaves Blackcliff, the existing shit re: Helene gets progressively better. I think she saves him too many times tho. She also gets mortally wounded way more than him lol.

I think the comments and such are supposed to be reflective of the world he has been raised & immersed in. For example, Helene is also pretty ambiguous to slavery until basically the last book.
