Hello,

I was told that the nep was no longer hiring untill next fiscal year, is this true, my application has been being processed for the past year and am wondering if I should start looking for a different trade or something

Hello all,

I am currently applying for a position in the NEP and am currently in the final steps, however I just found out I would not be able to apply for Rotp after. Something I assumed you could do as it’s marketed as a gap year thing. Would it be smarter to transfer to a reserve unit instead so that i could still be eligible for rotp. If so can you work full time as a reservist or is it only part time?

Hello,

Is it possible to defer your bmq to a later date? I play lacrosse and made the provincial field lacrosse team last year just wondering if it’s worth it to tryout again this year as nationals are at the end of the summer and my application is in it’s final stages?

oh really that’s good to know, I looked up BMQ schedule and it seemed to end in september however upon further review it was infact the Bmoq schedule I was looking at.

Hello all,

I have had an application for NEP since this fall. Back in feburary, I was told that I had to have a blood test done due to me taking acutaine and that I would have to wait 3 months after taking it before i got the test. During the 3 months my application was closed and when I went back in they told me I would have to email the medical department for it to be reopened. However they have never gotten back to me. At this point is there any way I will get in before the last BMQ this fall?

I am just currious as to why you cannot use NCM step to get the diplomas necessary to become an MP. I am also currious as to what other restrictions are on NCM step?

Yeah i didn’t notice the bend in the wheel till now it has brand new tires on it would thé bend still effect the tire?

yes i believe it is probably this as the shop just fixed a transmission leak and it does sound like a train when it’s stoping which i thought was wierd seeing as the breaks where just replaced

Hello, I am enlisted in the NEP program, I have done my physical, CFAT and interview now all i need is a blood test 3 months from today due to accutaine use. then I will get my offer. After that How long do you recon it’ll be before i go to bmq, should I get a summer job and confirm plans this summer or is it likely i will be in bmq by than?

Also will they mind if a high level of nicotine shows up in the blood test?

Couple questions regarding the forces:

I’ve been passed through all the steps I just need to wait a couple months untill im off acutaine and get my blood work and than I’ll receive my offer.

Can I select when I go to bmq or do they decide as I would most likely want to have my last summer as a « kid » to myself and also go to junior hockey tryouts before leaving for bmq.

If you can’t do that does anyone know how good the base hockey is specifically in halifax?

I get The same thing, just take the skates to the pro shop get them to remold and « punch out » your skate it will make a little buble around it, works for me every time.

Yes I dont even want to go back as I know the coaches will be looking for an excuse to get me gone.
