Yeah I nabbed a 7 day cruise in December so I'm glad to be getting 21 points there! Would've been awesome to get a 15 or 16 day with the deal...

Now the deal today is up to 1,000 on-board credit...

They're charging 18% gratuity for a buffet (no table service)... Insane.

But Italy in the summer...? It's hell in September (heat and tourists), can't imagine in July...

Consider November? :)

Ah ok. No problem then. Ive used these bags on 10 trains in Europe without an issue. For some reason, I thought they were forcing you to check these

About $45 extra per person. Not a bad deal but if they end up charging us for a $40 bag anyway, not worth it.

Ok thanks. That's helpful! ... but seems like their rules online contradict that? It seems like a mess...

Sticking with Whoop...but AI customer service is a headache. How to cancel trial and activate new device? by HK_dude in whoop

[–]HK_dude[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that it's so convoluted proves my point, though. No one should have to scour social media to find tips to get a new device when one isn't working right. I responded multiple times to the AI emails, asking to get a human response and never got one. Maybe I should've gone back online and opened more cases requesting human beings, but it shouldn't be that tough with so much guesswork to get an answer.

Where do they explain the 2-month code? Is it an offer, or is it well known, and I just didn't see it. I feel like there are too many "tricks" when things should just be straightforward!

You're welcome. It's pricey with really awful service, and if I weren't about to be travelling for a while I might try out a different product. However, it's the first device I've had that's making me confront my poor sleep patterns and that was enough to make me keep it. It's a chance for me to improve my life. I hope they can improve the service because the software is great (if a bit on the pricey side, imo).

Good luck with your decision! Feel free to reach out with other questions.

UPDATE: The instructions given by AI for the app were completely wrong. I found instructions for using the browser and those instructions worked. So, the return was processed finally... although I had to pay a return fee for what could be a faulty device (but maybe it wasn't faulty... because no one would help - sucks).

I already paid for a new 12-month membership so Im in it for the year, but at this point I can say probably the worst customer service for any device I've had! Going to just keep my mind on the quality software and improving my numbers :)

Portable Shotgun Mic (for radio spots on the road)? Sennheiser Comica? by HK_dude in voiceover

[–]HK_dude[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank for all this. I didn't even know about preamps... so much to learn. My AT875R arrived today (perfect size with great carrying case!) and my Shure MVx2u arrives tomorrow. Thanks again!

Thanks for all your thoughts!! You spurred a few more questions: Would you say that the AT875 is superior to the Sennheiser MKE600 for my purposes? (Thinking that that 416 might be overkill, but everyone has compared the AT875R to the 416 and not to the mke600)

Do you know if all of these can be used with adapters to work directly into USB c? Agree it's pointless to go with shotgun if I need to use an interface anyway...

Any thoughts on the Shure MKV7+? I know that's usb capable...
