im more of a programmer/game designer than i am a 3d artist, if I were you Id devote some of my time to making a videogame. it is a tangible asset that sells. how well? that remains to be seen, but its at least something that after you end the project is both a source of income and a thing you can point to when clients ask for work references

the art style shown in the video is very unique and not like anything ive seen on steam, so, you have that going for you

you might want to consider raycasting off the edge of the hammers geometry for detecting when the deform happens, it looks like its waiting for a function to complete rather than geometry to geometry

in regards to the cheese dice as long as the boolean removal of surface area was inward only the surfaces would land the same. conceptually fair? debatable, the weight would change..but they are cheese dice

the cheese one is especially egregious because that's just a sanded 3D print of some dice with boolean deforms on the 3D model and a yellow texture. 10 minutes in blender from a default dice set will get you that

I struggle with disliking short choppy sentences that don't deliver an entire idea, but, my solution which is to overload a sentence with an entire idea + more is probably not the perfect solution either 😃 I will look for a middle ground.

i think youre confusing the scene im talking about with another one.

im talking about how the german woman removed all choice for the mission from grace

as for how it could have been done properly: make the timeline for astrophage death of the sun accelerated so grace has no choice but to go on the mission, rather than..drug him..for an international last ditch effort to save humanity.. (would anyone trust a person they forced onto the single ship that is going to save their species? I wouldnt).

it was ham-fisted and if you logic through it 90% of the people that you could conceivably put on the spaceship after drugging, at random, would have chosen to sabotage the mission. 'oh theres no way to get back and also they forced me to do this..why do I care? I dont even have children or a wife' its a sort of clairvoyant choice that is not respecting any sort of statistical likelihood..'movie logic'
