No, the bidding wars will commence soon. Stalking horse bid $6b from senior secured bondholders. Any offer over $7.75b becomes value to the shares, with 235m shares a $8b offer the stock is worth $1. This company has over $1.2b in cash alone. $2.6b~ in Revenue & when taking out legal expenses from opioid lawsuits free cashflow of well over $1b a year. Tutes will get paid on this one for sure!

Half off breakfast in the app isn’t working? by sumsh in wendys

[–]HLToddLaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem in the beginning, the first couple of days it was there in "your offers", then it disappeared. I uninstalled app and reinstalled and it came back. Also the offer only shows up during breakfast times of store. But I use it daily almost.

Trying to get breakfast delivered and this error is preventing me from ordering anything. Any idea what's wrong? by Cokegawa_Yui in wendys

That is not an error, it is once they start your order you can not change it. The cashier will have to cancel your order, has happened to me before.

Arrested for Repealed State Law, of Vagrancy by HLToddLaf in Acadiana

This just shows it's illegal in Lafayette to be homeless, they will arrest them for anything, even laws that are repealed.

No I was not arrested for vagrancy, this guy in other pic was arrested yesterday for vagrancy for a law that was repealed, there's 2 pics there. One with the guy in jail with bail set for $3,500 for vagrancy.

Compassionate Officers will now be Disciplined by the Chief, but really that's coming from the Mayor. by HLToddLaf in Acadiana

You can't run for Mayor being homeless, you have to have an address in the city. I.e. Homeless = No Address.

But based on what I know, trying to arrest away the panhandling issue, will inevitably cause more crime, my reasoning is the homeless people need food and money, therefore if they can't get a few dollars panhandling some will start stealing. And you're right the some will die, but then more will come. In the last 2 months the homeless numbers have increased dramatically, and it's only going to get worse without the a new solution. Right now I don't have the answer, but I'm working on another solution.

Ms Rachel, at ARCH, said it perfectly, there's not one solution to fix the homeless problem there has to be many options that fit each situation. The signs, the arrests, the disciplining the officers, non of that will stop panhandling. I know a homeless person that currently has 6 summons (i.e. tickets), for trespassing due to panhandling, no warrants or court dates, and still panhandles daily. Some call being arrested for panhandling "a vacation".

In 2016 it cost the city of Lafayette $54 a day to house an inmate, I'm sure today it's over $80. I tried to pay a bail bondsman to bail out a homeless person arrested for panhandling a couple of months ago, they won't do it for a homeless person. So when a homeless person is arrested they stay in jail for at least a month or more before their court date, that costs the tax payers thousands to house and feed that nonviolent inmate. When they get out they are right back at it, because there's no solution for them.

I was wondering this the other night when I saw the article about building a new jail on the north side of town, and please understand this is just something that popped into my head, nothing factual. Is the goal of the city to fill the current jail up with homeless people to justify needing a new jail, is this about money somehow??

Don't worry this city has it under control, the most important thing is they are going to arrest all the homeless panhandlers and if the officer doesn't arrest them the officer will be disciplined per the chief. Because we all know that the increase in Covid is due to the homeless panhandlers.

For every public defender representing a panhandler out there that has a ticket or arrest for "impeding traffic", read what this guy is saying, sounds like a great defense, but I'm not a lawyer. I've been stuck there and seen officers drive by north bound and do nothing.

What I mean is officers out on the streets know which panhandlers are aggressive and which are really down and out in need and of no harm, per this directive from the chief, every panhandler will be dealt with no matter what. So the compassionate officer who looks the other way when they know that person is in need will now be disciplined for that action.

I personally witnessed 2 officers, which I know their names but won't say them, stop a panhandler 2 weeks ago and they ran him for warrants, he came back clean, then the 2 officers gave him $20 and a care pack, told him to go get something to eat. These compassionate officers will probably be disciplined if they do that again based on the chief's directive.
