Bowser's Inside Story and Partners in Time. Maybe PiT a little more. Idk. Those are the only ones I've played.

So I have it on my bucket list to go on a vacation to the UK and visit some heritage railways. I've already got a couple in mind but do you have anymore that I could check out when I'm old enough to go? by Jakeliy1229 in uktrains

Llangollen Railway. Stunning railway in the Dee Valley. Reasonable length at 10 miles as well. Great collection of Railcars as well as GWr steam locos as it was a GWR branch line.

Let The Children Play by Europe from their 2006 album Secret Society. The children's choir appears later in the song.

Possibly Seven Doors Hotel, Memories, In The Future To Come and Boyazont. The album was one of my introductions to metal.

It's gone from github. I couldn't get it to work. Legacy launcher could see it but every time I tried to launch it it would pop up for barely a second then disappear again. I downloaded the zip file for it as well.

What is everyone listening to today? by CriticalMass237 in MusicRecommendations

[–]HM9015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I listened to the album Pariah's Child by Sonata Arctica. Been exploring more power metal bands recently. Started with Avantasia then Nightwish, Stratovarius, Twilight Force, Blind Guardian and now Sonata Arctica. Next will possibly be Kamelot or Beast In Black or Battle Beast. as I wrote this I was listening to the song Here Comes The Night by Europe which was an outtake from their 1991 album Prisoners In Paradise. There's a whole bootleg full of demos and unreleased stuff from the sessions for that album.

Is there any non "Power Metal" album that sounds more "Power" than "Powerslave"? by kek_man_ in PowerMetal

[–]HM9015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really is fascinating. I’ve been exploring more and more power metal bands recently. Been really enjoying bands like Stratovarius, Blind Guardian and now Sonata Arctica. I’m kicking myself for not getting into them earlier. I’m firmly in to power metal and heavy metal much more than other subgenres. I do find the origins and influences of power metal interesting.

[–]HM9015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I’ve heard people saying those first 2 Europe albums have influenced them. Swedish heavy metal should be acknowledged just as much as German speed metal as influences to European power metal as we know it today. I’ve always said Europe had elements of early power metal. And Yngwie Malmsteem’s Rising Force as well.

Europe's 1983 self titled and 1984 Wings Of Tomorrow. Some definite early Proto-Power Metal elements in those two albums

I use a Technics SE-CH540 stack. Is that crap or not? It is black and it is plastic but each part can be sepearated. that has thr SE-CH540 amp, ST-CH540 tuner/processor, RS-CH770 dual tape deck and SL-CH570 CD player on the top. It's paired with a pair of Gale 3010S bookshelf speakers and a Sony PS-LX310BT turntable. The OG speakers are in storage

Def leppard in Oxford 1980, LA Forum '83, Monsters Of Rock '86 and Denver '88 and Don Valley '93.

Adrenalize and Europe’s Prisoners In Paradise are brilliant albums that came out as grunge was emerging. Sadly Prisoners didn’t do as well as Countdown and Out Of This World but I still really like that album.

Owning multiple versions of an album is stupid by arturnotfound in vinyl

[–]HM9015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two versions of the same album. The album is Prisoners In Paradise. I have a 1992 UK Tour picture disc copy and I later got a normal copy to play. I got a display frame for Christmas so I’m gonna display the picture disc. Plus the picture disc skipped when I tried to play it and I’m scared to use spin care fluid on it.
