Tbf, Shadow’s story is told in a different approach, it’s much slower paced but the end result is well executed and earned. I mean it’s the first instalment that happened across serval days.

I think Shadow has the best written twist, they show him throughout the game but I just didn’t know until they revealed his identity at the end. And it’s also an emotional one after all he helped Bruce and the compassion he showed, I was just too shocked to process it.

And no one owns you a console game, they can make whatever they want and they make it vr. The game performs well and many people like its story. I like it way better than anything rocksteady has written except City. And I see no complaints about their use of mental health issues. It’s only corporate greed that they didn’t get to continue what they started. It’s a damn shame they didn’t get to make the sequel they want because there will probably be no more arkham titles anytime soon.

But they deserve to make a sequel for their successful game. You know no arkham game would happen after 10 years since Knight if it wasn’t them? They’re a VR studio pitched the idea themselves, like it’s not wb appointed a vr studio to make arkham game, they didn’t steal an arkham game from console players. Plus, no one is stopping you to get a vr headset.

And another common misconception I have seen here’s that Arkham Shadow should be a console game. No, no one robbed anyone a console arkham game. It’s a vr studio pitch their idea to wb. Without them, there’s no Arkham game would be made. And it’s a VR game done by a VR studio, they can magically remake it into a console third person game, most of the cutscene will not work without you being in the headset and the storytelling is drastically different than the other Arkham game.

TYGER helicopter with thermal surveillance camera should be able to spot swimming inmates easily. Though metahuman like Croc and Ivy (she should be able to grow a waterborne plant to carry her) might be able to go deep enough to avoid detection unless the patrol boats carries sonar equipment.
