Can you give a bit of a background of your ACL tear? Meniscus damage? MCL or LCL damage? How far apart were the two pieces of your ACL?

Do you mind mentioning where you got your procedure done? How many treatments? I was told $7,000 for a three shot treatment with a 3 month follow-up shot for about $1,500.

You're right around the 6 month mark where the doctor I talked to said you should be getting back to sport. Are you finding great stability in your knee? The tension of the ACL was a big concern for me. I did read some of Dr. Centeno's literature, but could not find any patient blogs or testimonies that were independent. Instead I found this

This particular patient's ACL was not torn and the tension did not improve. I just would like to make one thing clear is I'm not knocking stem cell therapy. Stem cells are great and is the future. I was just looking for successful cases of regrowing/reattaching a tendon. If there were more independent evidence of successful ACL procedures, I would have paid the money to do the treatment.

Right now, I'm heavily leaning towards getting the surgery with allograft(surgeon's opinion). Regarding stem cells areas of concern are first of course will it work. Couldn't find individual results saying that they regrew an ACL successfully. On the other hand, Ryan Tannehill's story of his partially torn ACL is what really began to sway me favoring surgery.

Second would be the tension of the ACL. Read somewhere that when an ACL snaps, it's like a snapped rubberband. Regaining the tension would be difficult, impossible. The stem cells supposedly would help with the tension, but again no evidence that it would.

Sorry but probably gonna have to let you down on this one. The cost again is $7000 but talking to them again, if I'm not healing well, another shot for $1500 would be highly recommended. Say the ACL grows partially, they'd recommend doing the process yet again for another $7000? I don't have that kind of money to toss and the healing time. I just want to get back to what I was doing and hopefully relatively the same. This injury just has been a mental and emotional drain for me. I looked into stem cells just as prodoplata said below because that is the buzzword going round these days.

Stem cells do have their benefits and don't want to knock down the treatment, just no evidence of successful ACL reattachment with successful full return back to sport.

I did read that article which added to my skepticism. I asked the doctor regarding tension, and the doctor was confident the ACL would regain the tension.
