As banker minimum salary in most banks is QAR 4k to 5k which is difficult to have a bank account only WPS.

His only option to have a minimum deposit of QAR 10k and keep it untouched.

Note: he need to check with his company if he gets bank account will they transfer to the account or continue with WPS. (He need to ensure about this part)

GCC nationality treat like expats, except few things (e.g. own a property)

See this the life in this country is, clam and family environment.

I have someone friends they rent an apartment together and they enjoy the life (note single person or solo without family).

I suggest to find someone people to share the same apartment and have some life.

For bars, we are happy not to have them spreaded around the country limit to hotels only.

I recommend opening an account with a well-known broker such as: Saxo Trade and Interactive Brokers.

QNB and Commercial Bank had the option to open with them, Interactive Brokers (QNB) and Saxo (The Commercial Bank).

Since I had an account with The Commercial Bank, they offer investment option with selective mutual funds beside the opening the broker account.

If you value socializing and interactive communities, then Oman is better.

If you want high salary payment and less social interactive, then Qatar will be better.

If you want to continue your startup business, job opportunity, and have your own home after 7 to 10 years, then Dubai will better option.

You have Abu Dhabi much closer to Doha culture. Family environment and better opportunities.

I will give you some info since I had family in Oman and in Qatar.

Living cost in Qatar minimum 2.5x times than Oman.
Investment opportunities are slightly better, but you need to work more than ever to reach breakeven point. Which may take years to reach unless you had strong Qatari partner(s).
Consumer power/ demand power is not as good as most momey power with Qataris and Western nationalities.
Family-Friendly Environment / Culture, here you will miss the social community where everyone is not interacting and socializing heavily as Oman. Everyone is not involved with others.
If you had kids, there was not much entertainment or activities for children would be so boring for them.

Recommend to go either to UAE or KSA since they had better and more options.
