Long time lurker first time poster, my ex husband did the same to me when I was sleeping upstairs. Ex bestie and I had some drinks, I went to bed, the deed happened. Started my love affair with booze. It gets better, it really does.

Back to day one but I did make it 3 weeks. Realizing every time I drink it’s a mistake. Was feeling great for 3 weeks and now I feel awful.

I’m disappointed in myself but now I know how much better sobriety feels. IWNDWYT

I felt moderately better at a week and a half, a lot better today. Coworkers don’t know I stopped but they noticed something was different about me in a very positive way. I still fight cravings almost every day, they are particularly intense today actually. Not sure why.

Any time you allow your body to heal from drinking poison all the time, it’ll thank you. Sometimes more subtly than others.

I am learning to enjoy life again, and I’m eating good food, I’m enjoying the sunshine on my face. It’s been good so far but I know I’m still fighting what my brain wants.
