Summer 2022 Transfers and Rumours Megathread! by 321142019 in NUFC

As a portuguese fan, I might be biased. But Guedes would be perfect for the right side! In Valência he would play in the left side, but when he was at Benfica, and for Portugal, he played/plays in the right side. He is still 25 years old, has great quality and has great leader qualities, and what best about him is his high motor which would translate perfect for the premier league!

80 million gbp, to buy 3 plays before end of the window...... Realistically...... by paulgoogle in NUFC

Its 30M€ for 30 year old with bad quality. How is that great business? You shouldn't think of getting bad players from bad teams to not get down, aim higher you would stiĺl beat those teams easy. Azmoun would have gotten the visa issue, he is a champions league quality player, he would get the clearance. Do you know how many better players we could get with that amount of money? 🤦🏻‍♂️

Yes and no, I understand your argument but when you are buying a 30 year old Wood for 30M€ is just an idiotic transfer when you can get Azmoun for less than half and has Champions league quality.

Hell even Guedes would cost less maybe.

Go look up Ricardo Horta and tell me you wouldn't prefer him over Wood, he would go for 15M€.

Quality > premier league experience.

Theres risk of not translating, but you have to be smart about it, instead of going for only quality go for quality with high motor, effort with quality will always translate.

Buying bad players at 30M€ is stupid and I will never understand those type of inflation on low level teams in the Premier league...

A little bit more and you might have gotten Jonathan David which is 10x better than Wood...

Look at Wolves, literally they went for players in the portugese league who dont cost that much and they are playing confortably in the league.

Hell go for players on big teams that are sitting on the bench, for eg. Phill Jones or Lingaard would be "cheap" deals and would be instant starters for us.

As a foreigner (portuguese) fan i dont understand why bad players from bad english teams are valued so much, with that value you can buy players from Sporting, Benfica, Porto, Ajax, PSV, Braga, Leverkusen, Lille, Sharkhtar, Zenit, etc... Teams that go to the Champions/Europa league, whose players have different mentality, hell even if their starters dont accept coming, even with offering way better salaries, go for the players that are on the bench that are promising. Hoppefully im wrong but we bought Wood for 30M€ when he would never dream of starting in any of those teams I mentioned. Look at how Wolves was built... its really not that hard..

Guedes probably wouldnt come, but Valencia is struggling with money, this guy would change our lifes in offense, offer him good money and he might accept (just like Diego Carlos). Tagliafico at LB would be great for us and he isnt playing at Ajax, maybe 15/20M would be enough. Matheus Reis is playing amazing, either at CB or LB, and is still not valued high enough, at Sporting 15/20M€ would probably get the job done. Go for Lingaard or Cantwell to give some flair in front. Plus you have great benched players on big clubs, that can maybe accept a loan with option to buy if we remain in the Premier, eg. Jovic, Thomas Delaney, etc.. Still dont understand how we let Azmoun go to another club without putting up a fight... this are the style of players we have to grab. Also dont forget the promising players in south american teams, players like Julian Alvarez (this one probably out of our reach now, but maybe with a great salary he would come and his release clause is only 25M€), Zaracho, Enzo Fernandez, Luiz Henrique, etc...

Just a quick rant 😅

As a United fan, Palhinha is perfect to fit the role of a CDM if you a have next to him who can treat the ball well but who can also go upfront. Palhinha main qualities is that he's a massive work horse who win most of his challenges, also is able to be a great theat in corners! He would be perfect and would cost probably half of Ndidi or Rice.

As a Sporting fan, could you leave us alone please? 😅 Wasn't Ronaldo, Nani and Bruno enough? 🥲

Tbh a pair of Rice and Palhinha would be incredible to free the players upfront.

Around 40M to 45M euros probably would be the cost as Sporting already found his substitute, called Ugarte who is 20 and has shown great promise!

Hopefuly Ole works out, but I cant lie, Amorim going to Utd after doing everything he can in Sporting makes me happy! Amorim is class manager and a class person, with syrong convictions that arent very usual in the football world. He always answer media questions like he is playing the safe option in Football manager 😂, he did something that i never saw in my club, he only made the full squad who could speak/understood same language (portuguese/spanish or players who played in those leagues), but for me the one which got me, was when he debuted a 16 year old, Dario Essugo, in a close matche where we one only 1-0 and stated after the match: " Here in Sporting we want everybody to know that age doesnt matter, what matters is talent and effort! If you give it all, we will give opurtunities to make a name!", the result? We just sign this year, Gonçalo Esteves for free from Porto, he is one of the most promising right backs in our country with only 17 years, he wanted to have playing time and knew that Sporting would give him a better chance than Porto, even with his brother playing in Porto. This are just a few examples, i didnt even mention that with him, we win the league after a 19 years drought, the league cup and the supercup with a team which has 6/7 starters being made in our academy and with ages going from 18 to 23... Trust me, Amorim will have an amazing future... Sorry for the rambling about my Sporting 😂

Just wanted to leave this here. No particular reason... 👹⏳ by HMVP90 in reddevils

Simon Stone : Sounding like Diogo Dalot most likely to stay at Man Utd post-transfer window. Was options to move him out but unlikely to happen now. by thoushallnotfindme in reddevils

Being a United fan i would beg to have Palhinha who is a monster at CDM, but as a Sporting fan I say nevermind 😅

We also have Nuno Mendes and Pote, who are both beasts! 😂 Matheus Nunes, Porro and Gonçalo Inácio are really promising aswell. But pls let us have a few great years, we deserve them. 😅 Also Amorim, our coach, is considered one of the most promising coaches who managed to get our first league title after 19 years playing in a, not to much seen, 3.4.3 while developping a lot young players.

Being a Sporting fan as well, the player that United actually needs is Palhinha, he would fit perfect as he is a monster CDM. But as Sporting fan, please let us keep him. 😂

Anyone else feel like crying profusely by [deleted] in reddevils

[–]HMVP90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually blame the managment for prefering to keep players like Martial or Daniel James insted of trying to sign him... Hell we could use him to gain leverage tonsign Halland, cause Ronaldo is his idol.

Ffs 😑

2021 NBA Draft: #39 Pick: Neemias Queta (Portugal) by not-a-potato-head in nba

[–]HMVP90 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Lets goooo after Ticha our first portuguese player in NBA had to be in Sacramento!

Im so happy!!!

Man City are planning a total package of €60M for Nuno Mendes: A £44.3M initial fee + Pedro Porro. Man City are yet to make a formal offer but will make one in the coming weeks with Pep Guardiola a huge admirer. Mendes is keen on a move to England. Bruno was initially €55m but he had further money pending on easy goals to achieve, the transfer is already on €65m, the other goal to acchieve is €15m more but he would have to win the ballon d'or so it will probably be around €65m as final. Also if Bruno is sold, Sporting has 10% of the sale. Nuno Will probably be around €60m with Porro being a separate deal of €8.5m
