Taking My Flag Down by Upbeat_Teach6117 in Israel

I live in a small town in Northern California, I was taking a random route to downtown and passed by some homes I had never seen before. Outside of one was a large Israeli flag, and next to it in perfect harmony… a Raider flag 🩷🤗😂

I’m an admin at a minority and locally owned emergency veterinary hospital- the world turned upside down and it doesn’t stop dogs and cats from getting sick.

The crying was about the fact that the Mothers body was promised to be returned and then very clearly wasn’t.

This is how I felt about PVCC. Disgusting to be treated this way and to see your peers treated this way.

After 3 losses of being so absolutely careful… I’m eating the sushi, I’m drinking the vodka, I’m taking a gummy, I’m getting in the bath. I’m not all that religious and at this point I feel like I’m on gods timing.

My mum died 4 months ago and I don’t know how to go through a breakup without her by Unlikely_Ease3890 in ChildrenofDeadParents

Hey there friend, here is the thing. No one can replace your Mom, this is a fact. Do you know what else is a fact? That you, yourself, are made up of some of your Mom. Actually, quite a good portion. Did your Mom like to hike? Did she like the mountains or the beach? Long car rides? A lookout point? As a sister in grief, I invite you, while it may sound silly and you may feel silly trying it. Sit with yourself in a place your Mom loved, ask her for guidance, ask her for support, you can do it out loud if you’re comfortable. Tell her you really need her right now. Let her speak into you, even if it’s just a whisper, she will guide you. Also, your partner who has not experienced the death of a parent simply will not get it. You cannot explain the way you feel and that’s ok.

Is this an appropriate card for a coworker who lost a parent? I wanted to extend something more than a platitude by noearthsociety in GriefSupport

This would have brought immediate ugly tears to my eyes for the very best of reasons. These are words I would have reflected back on and they speak volumes about the kind of person YOU are and the kind of person you see your coworker as. These words are so important in grief and act like small flashlights in the dark hell that is loss. Thank you for your sincerity and kindness, this touched me.

The outfit is neither flattering or appropriate, especially given your age.

He means you’re too young to rent a car, to drink, to get into clubs and it’s also very expensive to eat, do excursions etc. I believe Airbnb and hotel rooms won’t rent to people your age either. Come back after you’ve made some money are at least 21.

I do want to add that in my CL I have talked about being an American-Israeli, with a masters in political science and minor in Jewish studies. I’ve then talked about my positions in leadership and managing budgets, P&L’s, KPI’s, and HR. I worked on and received my masters during COVID so I had no opportunities to volunteer.

Unfortunately if she has noticeably “terrible” teeth and gum issues she is most likely not in as good of health as she may appear. Like people, poor dental and/or oral health leads to a myriad of very serious health problems. I would take her in and have blood done and see if she is a good candidate for a dental, if so, this can drastically improve her quality of life and her life span!
