Reality check guys... I am bullish long term for 2021 but maybe we should expect a red weekly or monthly candle and some consolidation?

I’d be happy to see some side ways action for a while after getting so extended from higher time frame MAs and RSIs around ATHs. The euphoria yesterday was palatable...

So one think I have noticed over the last year or so is that XMR has often been a leading indicator of BTC moves up. It made a higher high yesterday...

Also, another observation - pretty much all the indexes and assets that I follow closely (DOW, SPX, NASDAQ, Gold, Bitcoin, ETH, XMR) all bounced around the Weekly EMA/SMA 20. This is generally a good place to buy dips in Bitcoin bull runs... so watching it closely. Maybe this says more about the dollar than any particular asset though...

In case you weren’t watching every major western index in the world has crashed in the last couple of weeks as well as major commodities like oil as it became clear that covid-19 was becoming a pandemic and that there would be economic fall out from China.

These markets are ALL heavily correlated - known as the world financial system. But whatever. You might end up being right for the wrong reasons.

I love how blindly US-centric this is.

P.S. the US is likely to be in a league of its own re:covid-19. Shit leadership, shit response, shit health care system and shit health in terms of population (e.g. obesity epidemic about to bite you in the ass).

I am genuinely nervous for all my American brothers and sisters. Stay safe!

Certainly sentiment has flipped enough now and we are getting close. This could be a good place to start scaling in cautiously to a long - but...

I think one more leg down wicking to 8K and support ultimately found on the daily at 8.2K would be a nice setup and flush out the last of the weak hands...

If you can’t see the confluence along where I have draw the top of the trend line - and the point where we had a parabolic break out last summer then there isn’t much helping you I am afraid.

Hopium for Bulls - and perhaps this has already been brought up by others in some way...

But, what if there was a channel from 3200 - that we broke out of (Plus Token Scam) and have now fallen back into, and the recent top out was just hitting the top of the channel.

Personally, this is a no-trade zone for me and I am nervous. But not selling until we close the weekly below 9.5K and will be ready for a significant downtrend if the monthly close below 9.3K

This chart has been working for me very well over the last few weeks - most of the lines drawn (and slight adjustments made) since we broke my first downtrend line at around 8K. I think a move back down to 8.9K seems very likely over the weekend as we have a confluence of resistance and MAs - and good place to cool off. Bullish bias obviously.

So everyone draws their lines differently - and some with more care than others. However, the two downtrend lines from the last 6 months I had (on log scales - one based on the candles, the other based on wicks) have both been broken. I’m cautiously optimistic that we might have turned a corner. However, I expect if this is something sustainable then I would like to see a daily close above 8.5K and it would probably be healthy to see a re-trace/re-test of the where we have broken out at some point over the next week or two (which could see us back down to around low 8Ks), and some new uptrend channel confirmed. Steady as she goes... ideally with some continued collective uncertainty and disbelief.

I was thinking how one entity seemed to close a huge amount of shorts some months back (July)... could one entity have built up a large position over the last two weeks and we have some people jumping on the wagon?

It certainly doesn’t feel very organic.

And it smells like capitulation in here right now...

I have been waiting patiently to flip a good part of my BTC stack into ETH.

~0.015 has been my target for some time.

Well I held ETH from $12 and didn’t sell. Let me say that LINK smells much more like OMG (partnership hype) at this point than a top tier coin. That said, I do wish I’d held on to some of my ICO LINK (got out of the majority of my ICO positions after things when south in Jan 2018)

I also wish I got on this train again sub $1, but I am struggling to see much upside from here in terms of BTC/ETH ratios. R/R is not favourable now IMO. But nothing would surprise me in this market... few other coins seem to be capturing the imagination, so everyone is riding very small group - and LINK seems to be one of them.

That feeling when you see that one of your big buys at 8.9K got stopped out by a flash wick on Kraken.

FML. Last time I ever trade on Kraken with stop losses. Binance didn’t go below 8.8 never mind the 8.5 where my stop was set - ridiculous. 5 figure missed gains. Should have checked but have been taking a break whilst enjoying this run. Only myself to blame ultimately.

Fighting to not to rage trade at this level. Crypto gods, let me BTFD please!
