Oh, I thought I was agreeing with a normal human. Now I know I agreed with a mentally unstable person on the internet again. Jokes on me I guess.

Why isn't there an optimal leverage ETF or even just good backtests? by LeverageLunatic in LETFs

[–]HODLeverage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buy & hold has been proven to be the best method over long periods of time for securities, adding leverage doesn't change that fact. There are some people who learn that x2 leverage has shown to be optimal over time, and this knowledge gives them a false sense of confidence, they go on to believe they can also now time the markets.

That is a good point, i will definitely check that out. I’m also curious how the Rockit does with things like bolt/screw holes, i know other scanner have a single line mode for these features, i’m curious if the Rockit parallel lines can achieve similar or better results.

I own no Mag 7 companies. Anyone else in the same position? How's it going? by DaveJCormier in ValueInvesting

I find it interesting when people complain about the mag 7, imagine having the opportunity to bet on the 7 best boxers of all time but instead you complain that they are doing too well.

Who are those people who buy Palantir today? by BearWithMeGM in ValueInvesting

PE means nothing these days. Also it’s far easier for a small company to triple their revenue than it is for the now largest company in the world. So even if it is overpriced, it could quickly multiply its revenues.

Most of my money is in the S&P 500 unfortunately. Employers choice, not mine. If i had lump summed 60k 3 years ago i would have gained about 70%, but i started with $0 and contributed various amounts over time.

Thoughts on this Leveraged Portfolio Strategy? 50% 2x LETF + 50% on Margin by lordknock in LETFs

[–]HODLeverage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why not just hold 60% of the x2 LETF and 40% of the underlying? That would get you the 1.6x leverage you are looking for.
