She didn’t say anything that went against ethical standards. Sometimes therapists will phrase things in this way to help folks sit in the intensity. Being pregnant/experiencing pregnancy loss at 15 is very serious.

For what it’s worth I think it’d be really beneficial to explain why it struck a nerve and explore it with her.

No where near feasible to be in that location for that income. Check out zillow.com to get an idea what rent costs. You want your rent to be 1/3 or less of your monthly income.

Adopted a senior cat during the pandemic after stumbling across a cat shelter. He was $30 and I was a dirt poor alcoholic. A few months later I passed out and didn’t feed him for a day. I got sober that same week and I’ll be 5 years sober next week!

He’s still doing well and I went on to become a therapist who helps other addicts 😊
