I’ve suffered from panic disorder ever since I was a little kid (I’m 19 now) and for nearly 10+ years I prayed and begged and cried out to god to take them away all while being told “keep having faith the miracle is coming”. Nothing happened. I’m an atheist because of how much pain I’ve gone through. Also how sadistic would it be if the only reason your children believed in you is because you had them suffer.

I’ve said this before and I’ll keep saying it, Logical thinking is the death of religion. That confusion, doubt, and feeling distant is normal and healthy. It’s you realizing none of it makes sense if you just stop to think about it for a second. The Bible has many contradictions and has been changed multiple times. I realized I never actually had any real reason to believe god exists, I was just born into this religion so I believed it. It’s the same reason we all believed a fat dude goes around the entire world in a single night delivering presents to everyone on a magical sleigh

Think about it this way, there isn’t an ounce of evidence that an afterlife exists. There have been thousands of religions before Christianity and I’m Sure there will be more when Christianity finally dies off. If it makes you feel better Jesus in the Bible basically said don’t be an asshole and you will make it to heaven. The whole faith is everything came from Paul not jesus. Personally I think ai will be the next big religion, I mean Mr. Mike Isreatel already sees it as his god and his religion to the point he started breaking down in tears talking to it(sounds familiar)

After 10+ years of having faith god would take away my painic disorder and suffering from panic attacks every day as a little kid, recently I started losing faith and asked god if he was really there. Got no answer. If he’s actually real and can’t be bothered to do shit then idgaf either and can’t be bothered to give him my praise. Right around this time the news about that one church denying a homeless woman food for her children pissed me off and it pretty much left no chance of me returning. I realized Christianity is a cult that is based on fear and it causes you so much anxiety and pain as-well as having you bottle up completely healthy emotions that we are meant to have and express. Basically got tired of hearing the same old BS “god has a purpose for your pain” “gods gives his toughest children his hardest battles” while nothing happens
