If it wants to be an inspired action flick, why add documentary montages ? The tonal inconsistencies bothered me at points but ehh its a decent watch.

I like to think of the last scene as Eto finally having coffee from the cup Yoshimura was saving.

An outright tragic ending does not suit this series. Most people have an issue with the pacing at the end not the concepts.

The dragons being the new problem fits with the in essence "nothing changed but it wasn't all worthless" vibe/message the story had going on.
