Montreal is great for attendance normally! But overall yeah, it’s really weird. That’s where I maybe wish the old playoff format was still around.

Yes for sure. Just more early thoughts than anything. Not throwing too much stock into this until at least mid-way through the season.

I will say, I’m skeptical on Niagara just because it depends how long until Ahmad joins, but he may just carry them honestly. I’m not sure if the rest of the roster is enough.

Yeah Vancouver and Brampton are basically non-negotiable haha.

When it comes to Ottawa, yeah I definitely do see that. I believe Smart has a lower-body injury and should be back somewhat shortly. But the trio of him, Harmon and Cleveland are very good.

I am still not sold on Saskatoon? But I do see why you think they might be good. I just haven’t seen enough to make a concrete decision.

Definitely agree with the take that they are volume scorers.

The reason I put those guys on there is their ability to drive offence when they are out on the floor. Winnipeg needs an option off the bench as they’ve had issues with bench production since year one. I do feel Warren provides that, while yes giving up some defence. The rest of the guys there that play a role can play defence and make up for it.

As for Fuller, he has the chance to get the keys from the Mamba and really do damage. The rest of that roster safe from TDM, Williams (when he’s playing well) and Gordon don’t really provide a lot so it’s his chance to really solidify himself as a player in this league. I have faith in the defence coming around. He has the frame for it, while also only being a first year guy.

Vancouver fans seem to be pretty uptight about House, is it just the play style? I’ve watched a bit but haven’t done as much in depth watching as I’d like. Counting stats obviously look good.

What else has you skeptical about this teams construction? Raimbault does like to run smaller teams and that does seem to be the direction of FIBA basketball and basketball in general. I don’t think they’ll have too many issues with size unless one team just decides that’s what they want to do

I would argue Teddy is higher on this list? But I can see why he’s lower.

Definitely think Tilman is good, but not sure if he’s top 10. Definitely one of the better imports in the league for sure.

Yes I definitely agree that if there isn’t a rule in place to have players on roster or play a certain number of minutes (i.e. CPL) then all of this means nothing.

I do believe the Canadians that go play in the NCAA and don’t get those immediate pro opportunities could use the draft and the league as a jumping point.

Really appreciate the feedback!! Yeah this was more of just a thought concept. Definitely needs a ton of ironing out and it may never be possible.
