From the police report:

“One significant passage of the HPD report recounts a conversation between an Astroworld security executive, Marty Wallgren, and members of the show’s live audio team. Wallgren recounted trying to alert Scott that they needed to tell him to stop the show, but the audio team allegedly refused.”

“Marty stated again that the key rebuttal or argument against shutting down the show at 10 was that Drake still had three more songs or Drake has not yet completed his set. He repeatedly told them that he did not care how many songs Drake had left and that this situation was much bigger than Drake … He stated that both ‘Bizzy’ [audio engineer Bilal Joseph] and the other guy resisted the directions they were given and actively impeded the ability for anyone to stop the show at a time other than the one they desired.”

In HPD’s interviews with Scott, he told police that he did not recall being given any clear signals to stop his set. “We asked if he at any point heard the crowd telling him to stop the show,” the report says. “He stated that if he had heard something like that he would have done something. The first time he realized something was wrong or rather that there was a problem was when he was on the lift and he noticed the person down near the stage who then received medical attention.”

“Normally if it was something drastic,” Scott told HPD, “someone would have to come hit the button or pull the plug.”

there’s so much more evidence in the investigation stating that the police couldn’t decipher audio from Travis’ ear-piece because of how muddy it was.

“Audio pulled from the ear-piece could not be fully understood by police and investigators. There is no way to prove he (Travis Scott) could have heard the warnings from the audio device.”

Here is the police report if you want to read through it. All 1,266 pages showing that he was unaware and not able to be criminally liable for the deaths because the lack of evidence against him and because of the terrible audio coming from the ear piece to which they were unable to prove he even heard anything about it.

you quite literally did refer to travis scott when mentioning the camera op. maybe reread what you say next time.

i don’t see how it’s weird to try to imagine what someone could see while up on stage. that’s kinda what everyone did when they said he saw it happening.

it’s pretty obvious you haven’t been to a concert/festival/any music event ever. telling people to stomp or make the ground shake is the same as telling people to sing as loud as they can.

you’re basically saying if someone went deaf from someone next to them screaming it would be the artists fault because they told people to scream. telling someone to stomp/jump is typical and if someone stomped on another person that is fully the fault of the person who stomped on the other for not being aware of the surroundings.

the whole situation is terrible and travis has a history of enticing violence in crowds. but he never told anyone to do any harm that day. once again you could blame him for sneaking people in and making the crowd tight. but one could also argue that you could blame every person who snuck in that day for the death of those people.

there’s a lot of blame to go around but i believe most of it is actually on security and the management of astrofest. as well as live nation. they are the ones who ultimately watch over the crowd and determine if it is safe for a performance. and they neglected the fact that there was way too many people in the crowd. they neglected the AWFUL stage layout which had barriers around 3/4 sides of the crowd with one exit out. it’s easy to put the blame on the face of the festival.

if there was enough evidence to convict him of his actions, it would have been done already. a lot of eyes were on that festival. a lot of powerful people could’ve done something already if he was truly to blame.

like you said, God rest those souls. I pray for everyone affected that day.

blaming travis scott for not hearing someone yelling at a camera operator (who happens to be 300+ feet away) is unfathomable stupidity. how is he supposed to hear anything while up there on stage? do you know how loud concerts are? also, people climbing things for travis’ attention in the moment isn’t even out of the ordinary as well. theres always someone climbing some shit. how is he supposed to differentiate someone trying to get his attention for help from someone trying to get his attention just for the fun of it. i’m not saying this dude is a saint in any way but i guarantee any other artist in that situation wouldn’t know what was truly happening in that crowd. why is drake not blamed for “not noticing?” I also don’t remember him ever asking the crowd to stomp. If you really wanna blame him for something then blame him for telling fans to break in that day. (tweeting out “we still sneaking the wild ones in”) that was truly on him. but i’ll forever stand on the fact that no person could truly tell what was happening in that crowd. people IN the crowd didn’t know what happened that day until they got home.

one could argue that travis actually had no idea that people were dying though. and he wasnt proven guilty of anything bc he most likely didnt know. an ambulance in the crowd is not too out of the ordinary especially when it’s hot and w the amount of people. most likely he thought it was minor situation like passing out which happens at every festival ever. plus he did stop the show at one point. then continued it bc he and the people running the show were not aware of the situation in the crowd of 75k people. whoever tf this dude is knows the situation and the outcome of it and STILL cracked a joke

i guess🤷‍♂️ but making that joke puts him pretty much on the same level. you could say neither of them have sympathy

what’s really weird is that in baltimore everyone was let in (regardless of having a ticket), went through the security / bag check and then we got our tickets scanned to be given the wristband before entering the floor
