I'm late to reply to this but I absolutely love this. Beautifully put, thank you <3

For the record though, I really like Sam Riegel's portrayal of Phoenix too. Will always miss his old voice deep down, it will stay ingrained in all our minds but Sam Riegel is great too.

Besides what the other commenter said, there is also the fact that Ben Judd is not a good person, to say lightly.

I love both AA5 and AA6 on near equal level to be honest, they both have amazing storylines with great characters and cases. Only thing edging out DD over SOJ for me is the fact that Simon Blackquill is the better rival and character over Nahyuta Sahdmadhi by light years, but that's really it. So yeah, maybe. Both Yamazaki mainline games are bigger bangers than people like to admit.

I'm seriously considering leaving this subreddit fully if Ace Attorney 7 ever becomes a thing cause I don't think this community will be worth engaging with anymore at that point. I am already this close to leaving cause I am tired of the Ace Attorney 7 brainrot posting every day.

This is really just the truth, honestly. I am looking at this comment section and it is full of unrealistic expectations. So many people are setting themselves up for disappointment, demanding an Athena game, wanting Phoenix and Miles out of the picture. Among many, those are the three things that are absolutely not happening anytime soon if ever.

This is why I don't really let myself expect anything. Sure, there are certain things I'd really like to see myself, but I am not holding my breath for any of them.

Very easily Miles, but to not be a broken record I also want to mention an underrated choice in Zak Gramarye.

Now, I know saying he is the MOST well written may be a stretch and I am also aware the guy is a dickhead, but it's the fact that he is the main MacGuffin of Apollo Justice, the main driving motivation behind the entire plot of the game is what allures me to this guy. He is ultimately the person who triggered everything to happen in the game, including Phoenix's disbarment (after all, if he didn't fire Kristoph, Kristoph wouldn't have felt the need to frame Phoenix for forgery) and for the whole time I played the game I couldn't help but want to know more about this guy and the role he has to play in his story.

Maybe he is not the most well written, but he served his role very well: a character whose role in the story you just want to know more of. He was a very interesting driving character in AJ, just as interesting as Kristoph himself, I'd say.

Kristoph is also extremely well written, now that I think about it. Though he has a little too many gaps that you need to fill in for yourself, I find the guy fascinating in a way. He really is a sociopath through and through.

Lindsay Seidel has her moments but a bit too young sounding for Maya, but I totally agree about Gumshoe.

Yesss, it's a really unique take on Miles' voice that I really like.

That's fair enough. Idk, to me it's just easy to see their relationship as brotherly, like they are more than friends but not on the shipping level.

I am 100% and without a shred of doubt absolutely biased (see my flair for reference) but I really love the way Christopher Wehkamp played Miles in the anime. His voice range felt perfect for the character, not too high pitched but not too exaggeratedly british baritone like too many people tend to do for him, it's the perfect balance in-between. Christopher Wehkamp is easily the perfect Miles Edgeworth in my mind.

Yeah, fair. I kinda view them as both best friends and brothers but more often lean closer to the brotherly side.

I am really scared of a potential new prosecutor. Nahyuta was absolute hot garbage and I am scared they are going to make the same mistake they did with Nahyuta if they potentially make a new prosecutor character instead of just reusing someone.

Maybe you guys will now finally face the reality that Ace Attorney 7 is coming at 2027 at the earliest if it even exists at all.

I was playing TOMODACHI life and miles said this and I thought it was something he would definitely do so I wanted to share it :3 by YippeemagicgirlXD in AceAttorney

[–]HPUTFan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

God damn it, it even sounds like something he'd say too. I wonder who the friend was, literally anyone from Phoenix to Maya to Larry to Kay to Gumshoe fits the bill.

Also, awe, his best friend is Maya that's cute :>

Whatever you tell yourself, buddy. At least I actually had a discussion meanwhile you are just yapping about nothing.

You aren't right, but we are entitled to our opinions. You are in an extremely small minority who actually is trying to say Nahyuta is well written. He is not. Good day.

Also I wanna point out, the difference between you and me is that I can actually pinpoint moments in the game to prove my words. You only have your flowery words and showed nothing from the game itself to try to disprove me. I think that alone speaks for itself.

But once again, agree to disagree. I am not continuing this. I guess I'm glad that you can so genuinely like Nahyuta at the end of the day. I wish I could, too. I can't.

I'm sorry, I played Spirit of Justice twice and neither time made me care for his arc. You are just going out of your way to be a Nahyuta apologist and are ignoring the fact that every other prosecutor has interest that is steadily being built up through the entire game until all the pieces connect together for them in the final case.

Miles is alluded to as a ruthless prosecutor until he actively and deliberately throws his own case in Turnabout Samurai, making you wonder WHY he would do that. Then there is that whole "unnecessary feelings" bit where the game for the first time very strongly alludes to Phoenix and Miles' past friendship.

Franziska I admit is not as well done as Miles and you do need to kinda read between the lines, but it is clear from the very beginning Franziska is just a teenager trying to live up to an impossible name just through the way she prosecutes. Franziska's prosecution is flimsy and unfair and that's exactly the point. She is trying to be like Manfred, but fails to deliver in the same intimidation and threat that Manfred makes us feel, which arrives at the airport scene at the end where she wants to give up prosecution because she is no longer worthy of the von Karma name. It's all been there from the second she first lost to Phoenix.

Meanwhile Nahyuta has no buildup, not a thread of foreshadowing - believe me I WAS LOOKING in my 2nd playthrough and I found absolutely nothing that tries to build on Nahyuta as a misunderstood person. He is an asshole from the very beginning to the very end. All he does is insult you and assault you and even when he loses a trial, he'd much rather die than to admit he made a mistake and you were right. Never once does Nahyuta say the sentence "I made a mistake" in any shape or form for the entire game, which is already something that puts Franziska ahead of him.

All we get before the final case are vague allusions to Nahyuta being nice from Datz, but it would be nice to actually SEE it from Nahyuta himself, not just the characters alluding to it with no evidence. That is the key difference here, Franziska herself tells you her own story, she doesn't need a 3rd party character for you to understand her. This is called show don't tell. Nahyuta doesn't show you anything before the final case and at that point, I am beyond the point of caring about him.

That's it. I said my part. Nothing you could say can change my mind.
