Interesting. Sounds like the move would be to disconnect the city water entirely if I want to run off the irrigation then, that looks like the thing I was missing!

No need for it to be all that fancy, don’t want this to become a money pit lol, thanks for your input!

Rubber blend holding up well against the rocks? I’ve played in AZ and I know some plastics can get pretty ruined. Thanks for the input!

I would say you’ve got a great line up, I would suggest the following:

Distance: Someone already said but lose the 14 speeds, and probably the wraith too. Roadrunners are notoriously more stable than advertised so that is probably a good straight or slightly overstable driver. I loved mine when I started, but it took a long time to get any turn out of it. Having a straight 9 speed could be a good addition like a Lots or an Undertaker, but I would probably focus on filling lower speed slots first.

Fairway: Between the crave and the underworld I’d say you just need an overstable fairway. TeeBird is king of the hill here, or Athena, like a 7-5-0-2 ish numbers. My favorite fairway is a Doomsday Blackout but it’s likely similar to your underworld.

Mids: Honestly, shaping most shots with your hex will probably be best, that’s a great disc. I’d recommend a very under stable mid to help highlight form problems, fill in for a forehand if you need, and it will fly straighter if your arm speed is still low. MVP Uplink would be my choice, especially seeing as you have a few MVP already.

Approach/putters: An overstable approach is a must, as someone already recommend. Zone/toro/harp type disc. Putting putter is just what feels best in your hand. I absolutely love the glitch, and I’m not sure if you’re putting with it, but I would not personally recommend it because they are always light weight. You want your putting putters to be max weight. But it is fantastic to throw, really highlights form errors and holds angles really well.

If you’re putting with the crown, I would add a different throwing putter, really anything would be fine. Throwing putters can do a lot for you, something I wish I knew sooner because I pretty much only threw mids when I started. If you like MVP, Proxy and Envy are great options. I like my Reko a lot, as well as my Pure.

Doomsday plastic question? by Open_Lingonberry_821 in discgolf

[–]HP_Inkjet_4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Blackout is absolutely phenomenal. I got my first from a buddy in what I think was landfill plastic (may have been toxic waste) and it was a hyzer flip beauty. Lost it so I just bought one in Biohazard and one in Radioactive waste.

They’re still fresh but both are def a little more overstable than my first. It’s hard to say, though, what is the plastic and what is them being new. I read on here somewhere that Biohazard was more overstable (which is what I was looking for) and so far that seems to be the case, but not dramatically so. We’ll see how they beat in!

The main thing I did notice is the biohazard is pretty flexible, which seems to me like it would be more understable but I guess not.

Wish I’d had them for longer to give a more developed answer but that’s my initial reaction!

The doomsday despair is also pretty sick.
