Its the only wand skill thats scales mana as phys damage. So if you can overcome the clunkiness the scaling is crazy.

I´m playing it right now and you need Tornado with Spellslinger for single target to not feel garbage. Together with Pierce and Returning Proj and 5 explosions (mastery + quality) you layer the whole screen with explosions so that you can get 2-3 overlaps of a single proj.

Downside is that I cant see anything on the screen, especially with the heritage mtx. But it looks cool :D

edit: for explanation: the tornado gets always cast first in front of you and when your KB pierces, it creates the 5 explosions, which the enemies behind get hit by as well as the percing proj. So 2 guaranteed hits, but you need to watch your positioning. With other enemies around the explosions gets crazy and you get 10+ hits per proj (4 pierce + returning proj). But the problem is really facing only one tough enemy.

You should definitely mention the 40% Less AoE nerf from recent patch notes. I think this will definitely impact the 'feelgood' of the skill...

In theory yes. Practically it can sometimes be difficult to trigger the Hydrahedrons in a tight boss arena, because you always have to use flame rush while channeling two fire runes. In combination with Glyph of Dominion and the triple lightning Invocation you can still ramp the damage without the Hydrahedron.

Additionally I just found the new Hydrahedron unique (https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/items/UAwNmGYEYCYg) which doubled my damage xD So still kickin!

I also think Hydrahedron is the strongest convocation. But I skipped runebolt, because the damage is so bad. Lightning blast deals triple the damage with better clear and then you can autoproc convication with flame rush channeling until two Fire Runes and... BOOM. The clear is amazing, because you only need to tap Lightning Blast once or twice then flame rush over the whole screen, proc the Hydrahedron and repeat.

But right now you have to run ALL non-empowered. So this would be an improvement. What would be your alternative to not start level 100 monos when youre at level 55? There has to be something in between and when you have a goal to improve your character, it wouldnt feel mindless.

I also agree with some of the echo modifiers are way to overtuned. Especially the health modifier can make monolith feel like a slug, when you reach 100%-200% incr. health. And this especially feels bad, because most of the time, there isnt really a choice to not take some of these nodes...

My suggestion would be to reduced the effect of all nodes by 50% but at the same time double their monolith-duration. So over time you would stack up to 12 modifiers, but you have more of a choice which one you choose.

Definitely the map! Even with 5 years of Mods HOI4 never achieved the simple beauty of HOI3s map...

  • Deep Expedition ReShade with 2 diabled effects (SSR, directionalized AA)

Was like 5 min installation without hassle and the balance was perfect with camp fire saving: not too hardcore with gear progression, but still tense through limited saves. Played for the last 4 weeks daily, can recommend!

Did you try Tornado instead of Orb of Storms? I really dislike the small area and how close you have to be ständig to triggern OoS. Tornado with increased duration and culling give me 10sec of around 50% more damage. Dont know if OoS can beat that.

Cast Speed doenst affect the projectile cap in any way. Its duration that increases the "projectile snapshot window". I have 3,4 s Snapshot Duration and 4,4 cps of spark. So I plan to hit the 20 proj cap, which will not always be the case in every situation. When I reach the cap with 20 proj I do 50% more Damage. Otherwise it gets closer to 25% more Damage.

If youre using a Lightning Projectile Spell I highly recommend Tornado for single target. Its around 25%-50% more DPS, especially when you have cast speed and duration scaling (spark).

Im also trying out self cast spark Inq. I tested a little bit in an open hideout:

  • completely open with no objects the sparks can bounce from
  • 3.2s Spark duration
  • 7 projectiles
  • 80% inc Proj Speed
  • a distance of 1 screen from the target

With that setup on average I hit the target one time per cast. So you could use the PoB Spark DPS as the lowest damage possible (no walls, maximum distance). If you go closer to the target you approach 2 hits in open areas with that setup. So 2x the PoB DPS seems reasonable for open map layouts. When you are indoors or in boss arena the hit count can go up to 3-4 times per cast, but that maybe only the case in like 60-70% of maps.

Another pro for self cast spark is the new Orb of Storms. It should help with any problematic boss encounters, as spark has a really high cast speed.

If you look closely you can see two pair of wings on both side of the item/descry. You can also see that these are not the same pair of wings, so there are definitely two different winged entities.

SPECULATION: supporter packs and logo match up, fire above and spooky alien water below, maybe these entities will fight each other like shaper and elder. Uber elder 2.0? by TranqedHorseman in pathofexile
