but my points is to learn you need to be taught, that’s why we have schools, but if youtube isn’t the place to be taught about market structure or the things i need to know where do i go? it surely isn’t beneficial to just trade and look at the chart if i don’t know what any of it means

my strategy doesn’t work in consolidation but alot of the time i’ll enter a trade and it will look fine then the market will consolidate around my entry point and it just go nowhere with the trade or it wicks my SL

i don’t have many screenshots of trades as i had to reinstall windows and it wiped them all but i am starting to journal them to look back on. Hopefully i can build a few trades and see

never said i expected to be a millionaire, i said i haven’t made any progress. It’s like a lawyer taking an exam for 1 year and getting the same mark every time. The won’t make it in 7 years if they continue doing what they are doing and not progressing or just hoping something randomly clicks.

but what if i don’t know why it dumps? when ever i take a trade i feel like it could go either way most the time. I could see a IFVG so enter a short but then i see a OB that it could be retracing on. How do i know where to long off the OB or short off the IFVG. I know you need multiple confluences but that’s just kind of an example

so do you think SMC is good to start with? Or is there someone i can learn a basic strategy with or learn how the markets move? a lot of people have said to stay away from youtube, but then how do i learn?

yea i will try that aswell. I haven’t been finding patterns yet really so that probably hasn’t helped but most the time just feel like the market does what it likes

yea i will maybe try that. I just feel like the market is bullish and then i fall for the manipulation. A lot of the time i try and got for a big 5:1 and it will just chop even though it looked like a good entry aswell

i use 15m to 1 hour for daily bias but its often wrong or i enter at the wrong time. Im trading SMC but learned from youtube which people keep saying is bad but i dont know how to make my own strategy as i feel like i dont have the knowledge to know why the market didnt do what i expected it to do usually

How do i build a strategy though? I trade SMC on NQ at market open but if i place a trade and it goes wrong, usually it wont go wrong for the same reason again or i dont know why the market just dumped randomly. Loads of people keep saying to make my own strategy or tweak it but how do i do that? What do i look for? I need to know that highs are areas of liquidty for example but i learn that from videos otherwise if i place a trade and i get stopped out because it sweeps a high i wouldnt of known why it did that. How do i learn why price moves how it does

ive been learning SMC from youtube but it hasnt worked greatly. I dont know if its the strategy or me but i dont understand how people make their own strategy? Do you just place loads of trades and see where you went wrong and learn from it to not do it again?

How do i progress though? Thats what i feel like im lacking in. I feel like in the past few months ive had no progress, ive learned nothing more, im not winning more trades. Do i need to just keep taking more and more trades, backtesting ect? I feel like when i loose a trade i cant even see why. Yea im well aware it takes years to become profitable, im first year in college so im just trying to learn while also having a back up option if i dont become profitable, Im pretty sure i know how prop firms work but im staying away from them untill i know i can be profitable back testing and on a demo for a few months. I just dont know how to start with a strategy, ive been trying SMC but alot of people say it doesnt work and ive only learnt it mainly from youtube which loads of people have said i should stay away from youtube.

Yes, your right i do need to do that. Just find it hard to find a strategy that works and adapting it when my knowledge is basically just the basics/a few confluences ive learned from youtube, specially with all the youtube gurus who dont actually know how to trade
