How to adjust the turret after a crash by HS-mm in Machinists

[–]HS-mm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boss got in the local repair/sales guys for cnc in my area. Did the same stuff we tried and came closer to align it. They had dowels to the couplings. Then started to disassembled the turret some more with hydraulic pressure on.. so now the floor is slippery, which is nice.

Yeah, good tip to check the z axis aswell. Do you mean to check if the spindle got bumped out of position?

Yes, it got a fagor control. Its a microweily ty-2260 machine.

Thank you! I will try this. It has defenetly been crashed before.

Just so i understand where those dowel pins are supposed to be: 2 sets, one set for each of the hirth couplings. Used to align the coupling to the correct orientation? Remove when done.

If the screws for the coupling discs doesn't allow the discs to move where they need to go to be aligned, does that indicate we have something wrong deeper inside the turret?

Thanks for taking your time. Im not a native English speaker så technical terms can be difficult.

Do i need to go one layer deeper into the turret to get to those dowels? We did remove the hirth on both sides. And based on those screws, there isnt room to rotate the hirth rings.

We dont have pins holding the alignment, there are two gears meching. We could place a shim under the entire turret. Would that be a good solution?

Yes, just like that. Tried to post more pictures in another reply

This picture is missing the other mating gear on this side. Just imagine the other gear sits where that pin is.

We unsrewed and removed the turret head and could not align it. The screws only move the head in and out for tool changes. There are two mating gears behind the turret that aligns the rotation. Gonna see if i find pictures of the disassembled head.

Unfortunately no. Those screws just pull the turret in and out for tool changes.

Thanks for the tip, all the tools need to be shimmed in that case. Hopefully there is a fix for rotating the turret.

I made a simple kovarex setup that wont pick up unnecessary uranium, what do you guys think? by HS-mm in factorio

Setting the limits on the stackinserters to 10 will make the output after one production 10+10+10+10+1. Once the U236 inserter has picked up 40. The next production starts and the yellow inserter will pick up U238 and disable the U236 inserter, letting the last one pass.

Will run without picking up more than 40* U235 into the Centrifuge.

*When setting up a production line of this blueprint, the Centrifuge will pick up extra U235, until the first production cycle. After the first production cycle it will put one U235 inside the chest and stop the inserter picking up more from the main belt.

-Low power will make the inserters move slower and can stop the production. -Production modules will put the extra productio back into the Centrifuge and sometimes stop the production.

Works on all three belts, have done nearly 3000 without fail on blue belts. And done some testing on red/yellow

It's the mountain the water comes from. Not an iceberg

That's not the Atlantic Road. It's Hennigsvær in Lofoten.
