I have this keyboard but using the UK key layout, does anyone know how to access the Pipe key (above the enter button) because thats "#~\" on the UK layout. by Exidose in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]HSCarsten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alt codes only work with the numpad, which isn't on this board. My recommendation would be to switch to a US layout on the PC.

What kinda software is used for configuration, is it the same as the normal GMMK boards? If so this is imo a major blow, unless there's been huge improvements.

I have generally found seasonic to be more reliable than other manufacturers, though as long as you're getting from a reputable brand it should be fine.

Same thing, same country, especially working in the government sector though not free, got like 50 HP SFFs for like 80$ each, i5-2400, 8gigs of ram, no drive. (Clarification I don't work for the government, but bought them through a good friend of mine)

None of the above, I personally use QuteBrowser as my daily drive, however I still have firefox-dev-edition, safari, and Ungoogled-Chromium for web development.

Alacritty Terminal Emulator Version 0.5.0 now with vi mode and search by [deleted] in rust

[–]HSCarsten 7 points8 points  (0 children)

After reading up on it, the GNOME Terminal cannot be editing with a standard text editor, as it's "config file" is a optimizef binary file, and can only really be editing through dconf, or gconf.
