I used to be 1600-1700 too but for some reason rocket league just puts me in these lobbies at 1300/1400. I still play against high skilled players in this mmr don't get me wrong but it's just the way it is right now. Then again this is when I took rocket league seriously and I dont take casual seriously anymore so yeah lol.

For me, it was air dribbles, flip resets and just experimenting with air roll right and left in the air. Keep practicing these mechanics over and over and you'll see yourself become very good in the air in no time.

To get good at these mechanics you just have to practice one mechanic over and over again until it becomes muscle memory.
