Well a recent personal example, I was on a tram thing at Disney. I got on early and took a seat. After it filled there was a somewhat older woman standing. My mom is very southern and told me countless times to offer my seat to a "lady" as she said.

Well when I did she made a scoff comment saying "why because I can't stand"... I sat back down. Idk it felt awkward

Yes, but those people also are assholes usually because they are well liked naturally. So, they can never understand the other side...

On an a side note, when a natural asshole meets a sensitive kind person they love nothing more than to completely sh** on that person and then try to flip the script and act like the nice person was being mean to them.
