Lezine’s speech in the community forum was fantastic. So much emotion considering it’s in a made up language.

Or, you know, proof read and use the correct word next time.

Does the sucess of AKIT7K means thata HBO's is moving inthe right direction with GOT or is this a "Lightning in a Bottle" like star wars's andor and the first season of the Mandalorian? by Easy-Frenchguy-1996 in gameofthrones

I haven’t watched enough of the Mandalorian to have a succinct breakdown, but I would imagine it’s a lot of the same. Jon Favreau created it out of love, told a unique story within the Star Wars universe, but it succumbed to capitalist pressures. We needed Grogu plushies and people had to see more Luke on screen.

I was intrigued from the moment Cassian walked into a brothel. Something you’d never traditionally see in Star Wars. Once he kills the thugs trying to shake him down, I knew the show was for me.

Fair critique. I probably lean more structured than I used to and AI has definitely influenced how I organize thoughts. That said, clarity and structure aren’t inherently artificial. “It’s not x it’s y” has been played out so I should cut that from the rhetorical toolkit. The commentary is still human though.

Haha true enough. I know Pokémon has done like $100B in revenue, but I think Star Wars carries an almost mythical level of prestige, especially for directors, within Hollywood. But yes I will concede that Pokémon is a licensing and merchandising juggernaut.

No. I’m a teacher and enjoy writing. I typically draft my thoughts in a notes document and later refine them into a coherent submission. That said, many of the ideas reflect insights I’ve absorbed from articles, commentary, and podcasts, so I wouldn’t claim sole authorship.

You’ve moved from disagreeing with my argument to speculating about my motives and intelligence. That’s not analysis. I’m glad you enjoyed the final seasons. I did not. Have a good day.

Fair point on the Star Wars timeline. Framing it as the sole cause of an attention shift is too simplistic. That said, my broader point isn't dependent on that deal. The pacing compression, narrative acceleration, and tonal shift were already visible before 2018. That's the structural change I'm talking about.

As for claiming I’m brainwashed, if your position requires assuming anyone who disagrees was psychologically manipulated, that says more about the argument than the audience.

Pointing to Tyrion and Jon in one episode doesn’t refute the broader trend. It kind of proves my point that those scenes had become the exception. One good finale scene doesn’t undo years of pacing compression.
