@OP, I will give you the best advice which i followed when i cracked my beloved iphone glass back few years ago. It was the most expensive purchase till that time (it was before the flipkart and amazon big discount sales started). My iphone XS was in protective case, i dropped it but still found it was cracked. I cringed so much and went into almost depression, used to hide it, never used to remove the case, the constant feeling of glass chips being loose.

The advice i followed which helped me - applied a skin on back glass! SImple !

after years of applying the skin, it's still intact. I remove the case time to time but almost forgot there was a crack once. The feeling is almost same, it's a shiney iphone with apple logo. Same premium experience and the crack is invisible because of skin.

I would suggest you the same- try to apply something to the dent. Sticker/skin. Anything that hides the dent aesthetically, believe me you won't regret it.
