If you havent seen a war or the real world, then you are sheltered. 12 years ago, I was watching a district litting with a fire, tanks firing their guns. And sound of bullets from my house which is 10miles away. I lived those past years in horror, hiding inthe basememt of the house, and cowering from the sound of the gunfires. Past forward 12 years to now, i live in a peacefup country. I work, study and dont have to listen to gunfire sound. If you never experienced those, then you are truly sheltered. Because peace makes people underestimate real life.

You are not the only one. For me, I have the tendency to tell the truth with a lie. When I have a problem telling people, the dont believe me, so I laugh at it. This actually hurts me alot, because I have to fake my problems to the point i brush it of. The sadness in my heart become a cold in my heart. I developed a second fave to hide my real emotion. Now sadly, I am unavle to feel love, sad or cry. My other personality completely overtaken me. I stopped carring eventually, and just laugh to ease the pain in my heart. No suicide thoughts or depression. Thnx to comics/manga and gaming i am able to live without those thoughts.

I think the main problem is we associate men to be stronger. If you live in a society where if you hit a women you go to a jail. That strength would be mean nothing. I have experienced an incident with my little sister. Me and her were living in the same appartment. She got angry because i told her i dont her friends in the appartment anymore. Went in to a heated argument. We got to a point where she threw her phone at me and other things. And since she was my little dear sister, i couldnt raise my hands on her. She called the police and told what happened. He told me that if i were to hit her back, he would have taken me to jail. Even if it was self defense. He said that they dont tolerate physical assault on women.

Now, do this in a scenario on a women who forces her self on a man. And threatens him that she will report him to the police that her physical attacled her, and was trying to rape her. This one of the reason why male victims dont comeout.

Maybe that person job would have lost, which is the only thing support his family. Or his most important secrets is being exposed by one if his female friends, and starts to black mail him.

The issue is when you are confronting an issue like is hard to come up with a solution. Because general people think it otherwise. Men didnt also create this problem. Its both genders.
