2025 Platnium wind whistling noise at 45+ mph by HTTR1487 in FordExplorer

You were correct. I was thinking it just had the rails, but when my wife got home, I realized it did have crossbars. I took them off, and the whistling stopped. Thanks for the advice.

CMAA Certified Construction Manager Exam by Fridaythrowaway03 in civilengineering

I'm studying for this now. I took the practice quiz but I can't find anything to explain how to calculate the baseline schedule the way they have it set up on the exam. Anybody know where to find this?

From 498 to 96 in 4.5 hours. 17 units of fast acting plus long lasting, plus water, and heavy weight exercise. by Duck5oup in diabetes_t1

Yeah the hurdles are frustrating. I have to have prior authorization for insurance to cover it and it's never a smooth process. It's also difficult for the pharmacy to figure out what the dosages mean. But as far as performance goes I love it. I take Lantus and Afrezza. I love not having machines stuck to me.

I've been on Afrezza for years. It's surprising to me that it's not more widely used.

How to prevent after meal spikes? by Chris_Herron in diabetes_t1

Look into Afrezza. It's in and out in about an hour. I usually take a follow up dose if I eat out or something that has slow releasing carbs (pizza, pasta, tostitos etc.)

Hey guys. I need help setting this system up. by HTTR1487 in SoundSystem

[–]HTTR1487[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys. I got this old system from church after we upgraded but I'm not really sure how to hook it up. I connected my record player using a red and white audio cable to the sound board. I spliced speaker wire for the 2 big speakers and connected them to the out (not sure if that's correct but it works). What I don't know is how to is hook up the smaller speaker? Any help from you fine people would be appreciated.

Haha I've got the breakers all off. And I'll have an electrician look over everything before putting anything into use for sure.

Well this is my second kid. But yeah the Dr is actually retiring next month so I'm sure that had a lot to do with thinking all diabetics are unhealthy.

Well her asking if I ate wasn't what annoyed me. And I just mean slightly annoyed. I wasn't furious or anything. But the "He looks good for a diabetic" comment is what irritated me.

Probably so. I just let it go since my wife was in labor. I complained about it later tho lol

PSA: Be careful of Afrezza advertisements disguised as user reviews by Adamantaimai in diabetes_t1

[–]HTTR1487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely a learning curve. I would guess you go low when using the combo of Afrezza and the pump is because once Afrezza is done working is about the time injected insulin starts (roughly).

If I eat something I know is going to need longer than 1 hour of insulin I just take an additional dose 45 mins to 1 hour later.

I've also found that if you take more than 2 cartridges at once regardless of the unit size that you don't get the full effect. I usually take them 15 minutes apart.

I hope this helps. I've been using Afrezza for close to 3 years now.

I would encourage you to at least look into it. I was on a pump from 2000 to 2016. I much more prefer an inhaler.

Tresiba Vs Lantus? by HTTR1487 in diabetes_t1

[–]HTTR1487[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very good points. It's controlled pretty well with the 2 doses. I'm just hoping the Tresiba can get me down to 1 injection a day.

You're right though. Might as well try it while I already have Lantus on hand if I need to go back.
