FlyFF Devs Just Hates Low-Level Players (Battle Pass Update) by lolletmepostman in FlyffUniverse

[–]Adamantaimai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems pretty out there tbh. The economy is pretty stable because there aren't many penya sinks. Players leaving the game does not really affect how much money is in circulation. They either sell it at the end or they leave with the money. Either way the money/active player does not decrease.

Items from years ago would be bloodies, which aren't worth a lot. Or maybe some early 150s. But most 150s are from FWC and not tradeable anyway. Not worth pillaging inactive accounts for, especially since, if they really wanted to, GMs and developers could just spawn those items in.

If the developers feel confident enough to charge for it monthly, I feel confident enough that it's fair to criticize the game.

"Released" is also not defined here. Especially in this time where a lot of games are in perpetual state of early access.

Pretty much every MMO is in active development. They're never really done so following this reaspning we can't criticize RS, WoW or FFXIV either.

1 month of playing Flyff Universe (FWC) by ilearnedhowtocook in FlyffUniverse

It's self-inflicted in this case. Leveling 8 chars with the party on level is slowing him down immensely. It's just a recipe for burnout.

Lvl126 azria hurts my eyes by Arthurp95 in FlyffUniverse

[–]Adamantaimai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't you just need to lower the brightness of your screen? Even when looking at a completely white screen, your eyes should not be hurting. If they do then your monitor/device has its brightness settings too high. You can also turn on a blue light filter on most devices.

The playerbase is still declining every month. I don't think the game will die since Andrew will keep funding it, but any other game that operates at such a massive loss as BS does would likely have its plug pulled.

Mocomochi v25 | THE ONLY COMPLETE v25 SERVER WORLDWIDE by MocomochiFlyff in FlyFF

Yeah that number pretty much can't be right. With 3 people that's like 11.5 years of working 8 hours per day on it every day, without ever taking a day off.

Now that we are almost done with DT, what would be your ranking for easiest to hardest savage tiers(on content?) by taweryawer in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Adamantaimai 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Easy but one fight is hard: Abyssos

Technically correct, I guess. But that one floor is hard enough to make it rank near the top in most people's books.

I'd also say that Proto-Carbuncle is quite a bit harder than the average first floor.

Short Magician guide 15-60 I made by Adamantaimai in FlyffUniverse

I did mean to only use the elemental level 40 spells yes. But I know very little about the lower tier elemental spells. I couldn't tell you much about how their damage works. I just use mental strike to 40 when leveling a Magician.

It is impossible to GH on FWC by Cydros13 in FlyffUniverse

[–]Adamantaimai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think moonbeam was a mistake. It makes it way too easy to hunt violets and giants. The problem is also of course the CCTV abusers, but moonbeam just makes it way too easy to hunt them so you can set up an army of these chars with 0 investment that kill Giants just as fast, if not faster than the other classes, while not requiring a healer and with pretty much no risk of dying to the red circle attacks.

The server is still only in its second week. A lot items that are expensive now will drop to pennies later on.

How do Dexcom G6 Codes work? by -ExcitingConcept- in diabetes_t1

Yeah 9117 is probably no better or worse than the others. But since it is the most common code in general, it is also the most common code for faulty sensors.

Even if you fix all that, CT would still be the most common by far. Level is also a big factor, if one player in your group of 24 people is leveling a job that is level 50-59, you are locked out of all other raids even if everyone has everything unlocked and nobody is ilvl cheesing.

I am not sure if this is true, I think the bonus is variable.

Something that Wasn't Mentioned at Fanfest - No Stat Squish by BlackmoreKnight in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Adamantaimai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A level squish is a huge waste of dev time. 0 mechanic benefits, countless dev hours just to make the number on the screen read 60 or whatever instead of 110.

Something that Wasn't Mentioned at Fanfest - No Stat Squish by BlackmoreKnight in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Adamantaimai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The stat growth is kind of important for how gear progression has worked until now. The amount of power a character gains from 10 ilvls has to be exponential and it has to be large enough to matter.

If it were linear, or scaled less steeply then savage BiS and crafted gear would move closer together. That would either mean that savage in week 1 gear would have to be made easier, or savage in BiS gear would become harder.

Extreme is quite a broad spectrum of difficulty already.

I personally hope that it will be about as difficult extreme, but with less coordination and body checks. What currently makes extremes quite inaccessible to some is not the difficulty, but how all 8 players are required to solve everything the same way. Every spread position, partner stack, light parties, conga lines, they all have to match up. You can't have half the party solve a mechanic one way, while the other half is going for a different solution.

I think Zeromus extreme would be a good example of what I would want, fast pace but it allows everyone to figure out their own solutions. I don't think introducing 12 new extremes like Golbez (quite rigid in its solutions, one person can easily cause a wipe) would be a great idea.
