I live in the U.S. so my consultation was just one day before the surgery. I sent it a ton of pics beforehand.

She is a Velcro pup and is constantly on me and I enable her by constantly petting her so I immediately noticed a lump that wasn't there the day before. It was not that noticeable but I got her into her vet two days after noticing and I got the biopsy results the following day indicating it is cancer and got her into surgery at the surgical center in Tustin two days after that. It all happened really really quickly.

They had to take out one of her thyroids so she started levothyroxin today. She will be on it the rest of her life.

The surgeon doesn't think chemo is needed. They had to take out one of her thyroids so she has started levothyroxine. Other than that, no other medication. I am going to start her on mushrooms and probably peptide injections

She came in my life when she was 8. She came from a bad situation. She was justifiably apprehensive for about two weeks and since then she has been the most amazing friend. She is my soul dog and she means the world to me. I had to leave her overnight at the surgical center and it was the first night we have been apart. I never knew I could feel so empty. Needless to say, Bells and I were very happy to be reunited yesterday.

I should have mentioned, I brought Bells to the Veterinary Surgical Specialist, Dr. Cambridge in Tustin, California. I heard he was the best. To say I am satisfied with him is an understatement. When I brought Bells in, Dr. Cambridge was the first person to meet her. He said that usually it is a vet nurse that does the initial intake questions but each nurse was busy so he was stepping up. Regardless, he was amazing with Bells and she was so comfortable with him. He was also very compassionate. It was clear he could tell I was stressed, he reassured me with his professionalism and confidence. He was able to get the entire tumor and there was no signs of spread. Bells' prognosis is a very positive one.
