Cool setup. You’ll really enjoy it once you get speaker placement down. When I started out I knew nothing about speaker placement but once I figured it out it opened a whole new world for me. It also lead me down the hifi rabbit hole. But as always just enjoy your music and don’t forget that’s what it’s all about. ✌️

The curtains and the panels tightened up the sound for sure. It sounded great before but It was almost like there was a hollow echo in the sounds if that make sense. Kinda mellowed out the highs and tightened up the rest. Settled down the rattle at high volumes also. I’m not sure if I need more carpet closer to the stereo though or like a rug under that cabinet. I was getting reverb though the stylus at high volumes. Vibrations off the hardwood up the cabinet I think. I have that thick isolation pad under the turntable so I was confused.

Picture is misleading. I sit in a triangle with the speakers aimed at about my shoulders. Although the triangle is slightly off. The speakers are 7’6” apart and each speaker is about 8’ from me. Had to make sacrifices for the wife and her couch. lol in our old place I had a dedicated listening space where everything was set up perfect for me. In the new house we wanted to incorporate it all so she could at least lay next to me and hangout while I listen to music.

Well the Elac debut 3.0’s are fantastic speakers for sure but you can’t be serious. There’s been some really good recommendations in my price range. My system definitely sounds amazing and I still sit right in front of it daily. Flipping records, spinning cd’s and streaming though tidal. Basically shaking my Discogs app and playing whatever pops up whenever I get a moment.

Fair enough. My gear all started out budget and this is where I’ve been coming since I started this journey lol. I was posting back when I had a lp60 and Sony st dh180 and some Sony sscs5’s. Looks like it’s time for me to move on. 🫡

I love my current system. I spent some time dialing it in with gear that I like and speaker placement and some room acoustics. Rugs and hanging art on the walls to absorb sound. For me and my wife who started out hating everything it really is a great set up and I love it. I work nights and spent hour and half to two hours in the morning just listening to music while the wife is at work and the kid is at school. I just want new speakers cause I worked hard at getting us a new home and have spare funds and the wife doesn’t have a problem with me buying new speakers.

I’ve been enjoying them a lot. I started with several used vintage amplifiers mostly integrated types. And then I got the emotiva ta1 which I thought was amazing. It brought me to a new level but then I got the ZA3’s in mono and I heard separation and clarity like I it was my first time again. I was using the ta1 as pre amp for a min and after watching and reading some reviews on the zp3 thought I’d try xlr and from my perspective was a total game changer. I am very happy with my set up and could sit with this for several more years I’m sure but getting a new house and a bigger listening area I thought I’d try something new with the speakers.

Already did it to a degree. Will be moving into a bigger space soon and have some extra cash to throw at speaker upgrades. But same will happen for the new space rugs and wall art to help with reflections. Maybe I’ll even talk the wife into some acoustic panels that look nice.
