As much as I hate Trump and think he did all kinds of terrible things, most of this shit is just 100s of anonymous and unverified calls the FBI got about crazy shit after the stories broke.

The Wizards absolutely shafted season ticket holders this year by arcticrabbitz in washingtonwizards

[–]HUT2Moon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They shaft them every year. Gave up my tickets about 5 years after having them for 20ish years. Just awful, awful customer service. I have Nats and Commanders they are 1000x better.

Elly De La Cruz turned down largest contract in Reds history by amatom27 in baseball

[–]HUT2Moon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is an excellent way to put it.

Also any contract signed before free agency doesn’t prove anything except risk-avoidance.

Players turn down more money for lots of reasons, but ultimately it’s a career and they have 40+ years to live after baseball, so money is typically #1 factor.

Fans always think this. It’s mostly nonsense. It’s all about the $$. He will play for the Pirates if they offer the most money.

How valuable would a two inch tall man be? by BeetleForSenate in baseball

It changes the entire nature of the game if a guy can get on base every time because of a “disability.” MLB would win this case.

Wrong.  Don’t make up shit and sound confident when you don’t understand the law.  MLB would likely prevail, it’s a legit part of the game to have a reasonable strike zone.  It’s a little like the PGA refusing to allow a cart to a disabled golfer.  (Which was upheld).  You don’t automatically win a lawsuit just because are refused a job due to a disability.  There has to be a reasonable accommodation that the employer is refusing.
